Default Beast Heavy Naaresh 35 pts

Hey so I am trying out a new list for Naaresh and just want some thoughts on it. Will be trying to play this in a Tourney sat.

    Naaresh +6
    - Archidon 7
    - BB Titan 10
    - 2x Titan Gladiator 16

    Max PGBH 3
    Min Nihilators 5

I ran this against a Menoth the other day and it was just too much beast bearing down on him to handle. The Nihils died rather quickly, but they would be a nice screen with IF on, as well as a good way to clear up some lanes. The Archidon laid down heavy pressure the whole game and his animus is so good. Critical pitch also greatness.

Thoughts on my end from my limited time with it is that feat turn is devastating with this many beasts. Having access to 2 Rush's is very nice as well. So what do you all think?

Thanks for the reply. I ran it before with max Nihls and the Brute, but 4 heavies seems to be a lot of fun and bit overwhelming at 35, so I am going to try and roll it. BTW Naaresh is tons of fun, give him a shot!

I've been stewing it over. My first thought was "I've got to try that list." It looks terrifically fun.

It looks very effective too. If you have them, you might try Bloodrunners instead of Nihilators. Otherwise, everything seems well balanced.

I'll be giving it a try for sure, though I'll have to proxy the Archidon.

Thanks! It was horrifically fun lol. I felt really beat down by the Menoth player when I was running it, but feat turn came and all that was left was my beasts. It was just a crazy thing to experience. Hilariously little amount of models to field at 35pts, but whatever.

I do not have the Bloodrunners, but I figure IF + Tough makes them a great tarpit/screen even at a min unit.

Archidon is fun as hell too. Critical Pitch is just amazing, and being able to give sprint to Naaresh is silly, 3 advances in 1 turn. With Molik you could effectively make 4 advances ha.

    Thanks for the input!

No you can't, because casting Fatewalker overrides sprint.

Couldn't you take the sprint, then cast FW?

Unfortunately not. Because Sprint happens "at the end of activation," you'd have to cast Fate Walker before you took your Sprint move, which would remove Lightning Strike.

Good call. I mean its terribly impractical anyway, but thought it was a fun notion. Guess I was wrong

    I really want an Archidon...

I played Naaresh at 25pts against Khador today using,

    Basilisk Drake 4
    Basilisk Krea 4
    Cyclops Brute 5
    Cyclops Savage 5
    Titan Gladiator 8
    Pain Givers MU 2
    Agonizer 2

The Basilisks died immediately, but was able to spray down a war dog, and 15 health on Scosche.
Next turn Naaresh popped feat, and ate up all the war jacks and units.
If the Basilisks lived, their synergy between the two could have given some amazing damage that are almost guaranteed to hit
    with Flank and Paralytic Aura.

I ended up losing the Titan but due to my own fault for giving my warbeasts D3 damage rolls when using enrage lol.. Woops!
The agonizer helped a lot too, warjacks couldn't be allocated focus.

Naaresh is mighty fun to play.
I'm thinking the Bronzeback is a bit too much though, PS22 on two attacks and PS21 on one (before you even start buying more attacks) is definately a bit over the top, there is nothing in the game at the moment that can take that much punishment.
But I can see the psychological effect of it.

The neat thing about him is that he is very capable of assassination runs himself, under the right circumstances.

Have only just started using Naaresh but he's great fun to play. In a 35 pt list i've been running two heavies and one light, yesterday it was a Gladiator, Archidon, and Shaman. Wasn't too bad for my second game with him. Your list looks pretty sound, Naaresh is tricky because his health tends to yoyo a lot: i think that yesterday i had him go from bring near dead to nearly back to full health in one turn by using his Feat and then massacring some 1 health troops (got to love Cyclone for that). Looking forward to doing some two Lock games with him and eHexeris.

Just an update on this one since it gets views still. I did end up doing fairly well in the tourney with this list as I have it. I was beat by Abby, not sure how I lost besides poor poor dice rolling on my part, but it was a challenge to go toe to toe with that many beasts in a 35 pt game.
