Default New Store in Costa Mesa, CA - Grand Opening June 15, 16 and 17th.

I'm proud to announce a new store will be opening in Costa Mesa, CA. We are at 2263 Fairview Dr at the corner of Fairview and Wilson right off of the 55. The stores name is Mercenary Market who's main goal is to be a community hobby store.

We have over a thousand feet dedicated to play space with 16 tables to support all the gaming you can handle! Our goal is to carry the full line of Warmachine and Hordes products.

The Grand Opening of the store will be June 15, 16 and 17. We'll be hosting a tournament on the 16th of June. The details have yet to be ironed out, but has a cap of 32 players.

Krysus, I am so glad that you are opening the store. Finally, there is a dedicated store for players like me, who were worried that there would be no warmachinne gaming in the OC.

I am so excited. Once school starts again I cannot afford traveling back and forth to the valley (where a local store exists).

Thank you so much!!!! Since Brookhurst Hobbies only plays Malifaux now, I've been dying for a local place to play some WM!!!!!! Do you guys have a website up yet?

Will you guys have beginners nights? I feel intimidated to play with players more familiar with the system.

Just wanted to let everybody know I stopped by on Saturday and the store looks great! I grabbed a couple of thralls to fill out a unit and talked with Greg. Awesome customer service and a HUGE selection! They also have a large area for gaming and there were several games going on. Greg showed me around and pointed out some of the army's they have displayed in the store and gave me some painting tips. They also have a Mountain Troll painted up and on display from Lock n' Load! Anyway, if you are in the area, I highly recommend it!

You people are a bunch of haters with no loyalty, Brookhurst hobbies is a great store that has been around for ever. The guys that work there are terrific and have always been helpful to me. They also have a great group of people that play all kinds of games and have recently expanded there gaming area. I don't understand people who put down any of our local stores, they all have something for everyone and hating on one of the original hobby stores in Orange county sucks.

While I have never been at Brookhurst games, though I plan on going there, from my phone conversation with them, they have been extremely cordial and informative. So I cannot comment that their customer service is bad. But, I also cannot question the poster's sincerity of his opinion.

It is not a local store for me. I worked in the OC for a few years and would try to visit for some after work gaming. "Loyalty" is a stupid reason to tolerate crappy customer service. And as an American consumer, I dont have to be loyal to anything I dont want to be. Enjoy your elitist GW loving boys club. I think Ill have actual fun at pretty much any other store.

And OT, I hear nothing but AMAZING things about Merc Market. The staff is top notch, the store is clean, they carry a ton of games, and encourage local clubs to visit.

Hey, is anyone else going on Wednesday for the Warmachine night? I am super excited, as I had an amazing time last week. I am really digging this store and hope that the Warmahordes community will grow.

I'll be there! I'm also bringing a friend who plays Menoth. He's only played one game though but is very enthusiastic!

For anyone in the area who is interested, we'll be having a pretty big event July 22nd. It will be an escalation tournament with four rounds (15, 25, 35, 50) and you can choose one of two teams - Matt Wilson's team (the creator of the game) or Chris Kluwe's team (punter for the Minnesota Vikings and avid wargamer). The final battle will be between Matt and Chris and they will receive bonuses depending on how well you do leading up to the last battle. We'll also be raffling off various items and good times are sure to be had by all. Stop by to pre-register!

Chris Kluwe would never talk about Chris Kluwe in the third person. That honor is reserved for Bob Dole and Cam Newton. Also, we have 32 people already signed up so if anyone is thinking of playing, you should stop by the store and put your name down so we can get the space next door if necessary.
