I have really wanted to put this guy on the table, but I wanted to do something a little different with the model. Hopefully this can be an adequate center piece for my elves.

Thanks, I still want to figure out how to base it. I am wanting it to appear to be hovering, just not sure on the best way to do it. I will make sure to update with more picture as it progresses.

You could do a stubby flight rod or three underneath, I suppose. Looks good - and I really dig the scheme on your Myrs, too.

I added the claws from the Sphinx they're in the front and back, but other than that it is just rearranging the "legs" of the model itself. Originally Posted by newsun

I haven't done this personally but I have seen the end results for smoke. Take a Q-tip and pull it from the end to unravel it. you can then start adding super glue to this until it firms up. after a few application it should be hard enough to paint the color you want. You can probably apply some super glue to the clear rods and start to wrap the cotton around that. Experiment a little before you do this to your conversion as I would hate for you to mess it up at this stage.
Love the color scheme you have going there by the way.
