I love seeing the standard of painting at the French tournaments, it's always so high!
Great coverage too, It was a shame seeing the Skorne player topple so far after such a strong start.

Hrmmmm.... Your answer key for question 9 is wrong. Cavalry models do ignore intervening models with bases smaller than their own when declaring a charge. It's part of their charge rules, not tall in the saddle. Bottom of page 81.
Dammit. And thinking I crosschecked that. Thanks for pointing that out, there will surely be a flurry of reclamations from wronged players. I have edited the answer doc.

If it helps any, I feel like kind of an *** for pointing it out.
Don't worry, you did well, I would have clung to that mistake otherwise. And judging from the repartition of quiz points it doesn't impact the rankings too much (except maybe between the 7th and the 9th), as the majority of 0-point players actually had a negative score. More to the point: my above statement was kind of tongue-in-cheek as I believe from what I saw this weekend that most of our players are good-natured and won't mind ; )
To pursue on a lighter note, I almost forgot to post the result of the Best Painted Army vote. So, players voted for their 3 favorite armies, and the results are:
3rd: UlysXXX (rainbow Trollbloods)
2nd: Starpu (yellow and blue Mercs... well mostly)
1st: Lucifel888 (out of this world pirate Mercs)
There was also a friendly challenge between players to come with the highest model count + 6 different warcasters/locks. The winner was Ishkar with his black Retribution, with a staggering 126 models including a Battle-Engine he completed between games:

I'm not sure if it's inspiring or demoralising to know, that if your meta included any of the armies pictured, your days of a chance at winning Best Painted would be over forever.
Disappointed that tehre wasn't a single Circle player there >.<
I NEED more pictures of that orange Troll army. It looks amazing but I am only seeing it from the back.
Add a rule so that all complaints have to be in english
It was a great tournament and a lots of fun. So bad some of my games were so fast, but next time i'll be more cautious.
1st game : i play eLylyth against eDeneghra. First turn, Cryx run, i advance. Second turn, eDeneghra advance, feat, Bane Thralls run so they can charge eLylyth next round. eLylyth use her feat, if i kill eDeneghra i win, if i miss, i'm dead. It pass, i win.
2nd game : i play Bethayne against Cryxfactory with Rahn. First round, retribution player run, i advance. Second turn Phoenix run in position, Rahn advance, feat, cast force hammer channeld through the Phoenix to slam one of my warbeast. Roll of 6 for distance, Bethayne is knocked down and an easy kill for Battle mages.
3rd game : i play Kallus against Naranja with The High Reclaimer. Scenario is Sacrifice ( this time it's important). Legionnaires run to the flag and are confronted by Zealots, Bastions and a Guardian. I keep Ravagore, Scythean and Carnivean in the middle in front of Kallus, facing a Vanquisher. Swordsmen run to the zone to find Cinerator and Flame guards.
At the flag : Zealots become immortals and wipe legionnaires. Incubi (thanks to feat) helped by Ravagore claim vengeance and wipe them after. Bastions are too slow.
At the zone : Swordsmen + Charge + Dark Guidance + Weapon Master + Cleave + Overtake + Ignite = too much for Cinerators and half of the flameguards.
In the middle : Scythean clean flameguards that were engaging Carnivean. Carnivean charge and destroy the Vanquisher. The Guardian charge Canivean and kill it. Scythean charge the Guardian, and one more time it's Ravagore that has to come to finish the job. My opponent forfeit.
4th game : i play Absylonia against Fedhman with Invictus. Scenario is Process of Elimination. I won't enter in the details : it's a bloodbath in every zone. Its ends with Invictus charging my Angelius and being killed by Absylonia the next turn. Almost a clean table for both players.
5th : i play Lylyth against Titi with Striker. Bad choice : my units are stealth, he has gun mages with True Sight. Lylyth has a small control area and a high def, Striker has earthquake and a Lancer. Do the maths, second turn Lylyth is knocked down, dead.
6th : i play Thagrosh against PeterO with Jeremiah Kraye. Scenario is Close Quarter with kill box. Cygnar start and advance. At my turn i advance Thagrosh to be in the Killbox and i put Warmongers in front of him. My opponent charge the Warmongers with Precursors knights, kill the one in front of Thagrosh. Gun mages kill Precursors knights (yeah yeah, shot at its own troops) and that's an highway for the Stormclad (with Evasive from Strangeways) to charge Thagrosh. Ogrun don't have enough armor :'(

Nice report! Poor precurser knights... betrayed! - for the greater good though![]()
A little late, but I was feeling guilty for not having post a report...
All I can say, is that I'va been playing miniatures for 15 years, participating various events...And tournaments organised by Zoroastre and the RTS are the best. I had a great week-end of intersting game, I saw wonderfull minis, had fun with all the contestent sharing a great spirit.
Thank you for organising such an event. And thanks to PP and our LGSs for the support.
We all hope more and mor foreigners will come next year to share good time with us !...
Spiff

Thanks for the report. Sounds like ye got a community of an amazing level.
Nadal won out over Djokovic, although it was a good match. Djokovic came back strong in the 3rd set, but nerves and a day off won out over him after the match stopped for rain...
*looks up at thread*
Oh yeah...
seriously though, this is looking awesome
Wow those French sure can paint.
