Default Father and Son (New to Warmachine) In Florida Palm Coast/St. Augustine area

I was interested in Warmachines a few years back but never really got into it, bought the original rules and a few Warjacks but never played the game. My son and I play 40k, but with the way GW keeps moving the price up and always changing the rules it is getting to be a little much, so we are going to try Warmachines out, trying to see if there are anyone in the Palm Coast, Saint Augstine or Daytona Beach area currently playing. I plan on picking up the rules this week or the Battle Box for 2 to try it out, but it is always nice to see if someone in your area is playing. Thanks

Two more GW refugees. Well welcome to the forums, and welcome to the greatest wargame on the market! I think it's awesome that you and your son get to share this hobby - my kids are 2 and 4, and I'm already trying to groom them to be wargamers. So what factions are you two going to play?

Thanks for the warm welcome, Been a wargamer since 1990, son was a late bloomer and didn't come to the darkside until last year, any rate I am either going Cygnar or Khador with an alternate group of Cryx once I get my first 30-40 points of my main group, son is looking at Hordes he likes the Legion and Skorne, but seems to be interested in Khador as well so we shall see soon enough.

There is a very large contingent in the Orlando area. Which is at least closer to daytona than Tampa

Yeah, we've got quite a few good shops in the Orlando area. Amorous Armadillo, Phoenix Games, Sci Fi City, all have a decent sized playerbase for Warmachine. I know a couple have forums where you could probably organize a day of opponents. Not good for trying to get into the game, but if you want to travel for a tournament or something of the like.
