So apparently the Lightning Pods, once deployed, are simply additional Surge/Triangulation points for Stormsmiths. I can live with that.

The last bit at the end has me exited. They're going to review the book soon, so spoilers ahoy!
It's not on the Stormwall cards, which we've seen, but on the Lightning Pod card. Dude in the video read it aloud, and that and Immobile were ostensibly the only rules on it. It's possible he held something back, but he showed the front of the card; there were no weapons listed and the only stats were DEF 5, ARM 15,, and
.

"very shortly" cannot come soon enough.
Very nice video, looking forward to the review of the book.

Wow, support keeps making those 1 point smiths more and more amazing. So you launch and get your auto pow10s, then more auto pow 10s. 0 wounds. Its a wierd mechanic that it encourages cygnar to kill off its own pods. There surely must be more to it than that...
Its killing me, that book sitting RIGHT THERE taunting me. I guess it could be any day now.
Edit: Not to mention the value of being able to block charge lanes with placed pods, like a longer ranged shifting stone road block.
Yes. I was hoping for wardrobe malfunction on that book cover as well.
Yes. At 11:27, he talks about the stormpod. They complete triangulations. KEITH YOU OWE ME $5.
Kind of disappointing that the Stormwall is only as big as the Storm Strider, and much more expensive.
Looks good though.

Do you really foresee needing to kill them off? You get three and can only spit out one a turn. You likely won't be doing it turn 1. So, turn 5 is the first time you can want to place one and might have to kill one off to do so. Most games of WM don't go beyond turn 3-4. I think it is fine really. And some warcasters like Haley and Stryker, don't use their guns too much anyway. If you really needed to kill one, anything but snakes to hit, 4 to kill your pod to get it off the table.
Though the idea that it is generating more pods seems hilarious and weird.
He is also a lot beefier and far more detailed. Also, how many pieces is the Strider? Like 20 tops? This thing is over 40 once you factor in the pods. (I think it was 39 total for him and 3 for each pod, which if they were a solo blister on their own would probably be $15-20 for the three given their multipart nature) PP prices on complexity of model as well. I can see why he is so pricey. And you cannot tell me he is not INFINITELY more imposing than the disco ball! (Which is still an awesome model and almost made me play Cygnar)
Oh, and woe to the fool who decides to run the Haley Storm Bringers list with this and two Striders. Transporting that to an event is going to be annoying. "So my entire bag is three 120mm bases and a few half trays..." Could probably bring the whole list and nothing else.
EDIT:
You play Cygnar right? There is a guy who sells the bits from Battle Engines on eBay. I WANT TO SEE THIS HAPPEN!
Quadrapole Stormwall just sounds scary. Since when did he become a Cygnar crabjack?! (At least we would know why he can't be knocked down then)

Ummm, yuck? A Stormwall with those 4 silly legs would be awful. But then again I hate anything that walks around on pointy little toes while supposedly weighing several tons or more. Those dreadful Cryx crab jacks that would sink up to their bellies the first time they tried walking on anything softer than an airport runway are the prime example. Hideous.
Yeah, but on that notion, every warjack with stubby little legs would likely crush them the first time he tries to take a step and shifts all the weight to one leg. I threw out realism a long time ago in this game. About the time you told me a dude in heavy armour could somehow survive drowning in deep water because his armour was watertight. (I was totally buying it until then! >.>)

Yeah, hi, I'm that fool. See you at Lock & Load.
In the interest of time (gotta be done before Masters on Friday), Stormwall #1 is going to be a standard assembly job. They ARE, however, FA2, so maybe I'll go crazy and give it a shot later on. I may have to do a Kickstarter to fund the project, though. :PYou play Cygnar right? There is a guy who sells the bits from Battle Engines on eBay. I WANT TO SEE THIS HAPPEN!

ETA: I'd also have to get a complete SW and a complete SS, so I could use the leftover parts to make a silly-looking bipedal Storm Strider.![]()

I won't be at Lock and Load. Any chance for you to be at Gencon or Warmachine Weekend? I wanna' see the insanity and laugh at you. Then play a game against it.![]()

Actually, that looks really sweet with the Stormwall torso. Reminds me a lot of Armored Core. Thunderpants, not so much. I still think it's better to bits order the Strider legs from eBay. Then take the Stormwall legs and make them into a wreck marker for your other Stormwall (since you said you'd have a regular one)

I thought I would hate the two legged Storm Strider, but I actually dig the proportions on that. The Quadra-Strider does look about five times more badass though.

I thought armored core instantly as well lol. AC overweight! switching to quad legs!
Okay, that's pretty cool.
Is it bad that I like the thunderpants? Also Stormwallstrider is rad! Cygnar stuff looks so freaking cool.
I need to fix it!

So how did they get the stuff so early!
?Those of you that survive will walk at my shoulder, undefeatable and forged in blood your victories will be spoken of in legends yet to come. They will know you not by name for from this day on you have none, they will know you instead as the invincible Gods of War, the wise, the cunning , the kings of battle! Lords of war! You will be my Tyrants!?
I don't recall having too many quadrupedal Wanzers when I played Front Mission. But in Armored Core, when you started getting way too heavy with it, the easiest route was to switch to quadrupedal legs since they could hold a lot more weight. And then added MORE guns. I might have had a problem...
