Lylyth list needs second caster

Hi guys

My first foray into Legion was to build up a nice base of Lylyth beasts but now I find myself looking for a little more versatility and to bring a third caster (after p and E Lyl) to the table.

Unfortunately with other projects and my upcoming marriage the gaming budget has had to be restricted somewhat and I want to try to get to a viable, relatively competitive second caster list with a minimum of expenditure, and wondered if you good legionnaires could assist.

I currently have the following:

Ravagore x2
Neph Bolt thrower x2
Typhon
Carnivean
Sheredder x4
Forsaken x2
Shepherd
Strider Deathstalkers x2
Anyssa
Min Raptors

My thoughts at this point were possibly 2 Scytheans & Saeryn.

I like pretty much all of the Legion casters so have no reservations there.

Well, you can definitely build a list from that with... pretty much any caster. Um, I'm going to go through the casters and figure out who you can't use...

Absylonia: Will work well. Next buys: Scythean, Angelius, and Raek.

Bethayne: Won't work. Needs Hex Hunters, Sorceress, anything with Magic Ability.

Kallus: Won't work. Needs f*ckloads of infantry and Incubi.

Rhyas: Might work. Next buys: Swordsmen+UA or Warmongers+War Chief.

Saeryn: Will work well. Next buys: Scythean + Angelius.

Thagrosh1: Might work. Next buys: Swordsmen+UA or Warmongers+War Chief.

Thagrosh 2: Will work. Next buys: MOAR SHREDDERS

Vayl1: Will work well. Next buys: Legionnaires+UA (when he comes out).

Vayl2: Will work. Next buys: Angelii.

Many thanks, that was a more helpful reply than I was hoping for.

I had looked through some of the lists on this forum and started swaying towards eThags and I think you have confirmed thats the quickest way to go.

After that an angel and scythean to open up the options.

If you get a few more shredders you gave a nice thagrosh 2 list

With,a new unit you could feild thagrosh 1 or kallus

You have a good beast base all you need is warlocks and maybe infantry. Good luck.
