I like the look of his tier list but it does shatter one of my hopes . . . that there might have been a Rhulic character warjack in Colossals. I was quietly wishing for a character Driller that had a "magno-grapple claw" that could pull models in to be drilled apart . . .

That said, the Tier 3 benefit has me hopeful that his list of upkeep spells will be solid.

I hope Ossrum ties in with the Artillery in some other way. It would be very, very cool to see a trench warfare Rhulic army in play, centred on High Shields and OAC, with Artillery and H&J shelling no-man's-land. This is how I expected Searforge to play when I first looked at the models.

Question about his tier 2 bonus. It says he has to take 2 or more unit's with ranged weapons to get the bonus, and the bonus is for every 2 units you can place one trench. Does this mean every 2 units that have ranged weapons you get one trench, or is it 2 units with ranged weapons to qualify for the bonus, and then a trench for every 2 units afterwords regardless of what type they are. I ask because I can see this coming up at my lgs.

And after looking at his spells I wouldn't mind putting fire for effect on an AD unit of arty that is sitting in a trench. Might actually make me pull them out and dust them off.

Yes, as written. The text is extemely clear. The REQUIREMENT is that he have 2 units with ranged weapons, the bonus is for every 2 units of any type.

Cool. I was really hoping that would be the answer. It would have kinda sucked otherwise.

    Wait... what?
    (goes back and re-reads)

Holy cats! That's pretty good, then. Buy H&J and a Arty Corp for six points, then get a trench for every other squad you have? Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

    Ossrum (-5)
    *Gunner (3)
    *Gunner (3)
    *Gunner (3)
    *Bokur (3)

    H&J (3)
    HAC (3)
    Thor (2)

Tier 4 and 15 points. Already have one trench.
Add two full HFG or HHS and to bring it to 31 and one more trench
Add four min HFG or HHS to bring it to 35 and two more trenches.

Started thinking about trenches, so looked them up. (p. 88)

From the description, trenches have the following benefits:
    1) Models fully in them do not suffer from blast damage (unless the blast is in the trench)
    2) Models in the trench do not block line of sight.
The diagram below also says they have cover (which is what I thought in the first place. So +4 DEF.)

    Very nice!

While I'm not an infernal I can tell you that in all cases so far if a model happens to come with an extra model(s) included in their cost that are not normally legal in the rules of the event rules/contract/tier list then you get those extra models anyway. His entry simply states Rhulic Mercenary Minion Character Solo & Mercenary Minion Character Heavy Warbeast. You pay for the lesser warlock solo and you get the bear for free. It's not a let me check to see if the bear is okay in the list you only check the solo the bear is simply a part of the cost and the battlegroup. It's the same with warcasters/warlocks you don't check the old witch's scrap jack to see if it's a character warjack and her tier list doesn't allow character jacks (which her list does not not and the scrap jack is a character light jack). It comes with her as a part of her cost and is automatically included in her battlegroup. So relax and take the dwarf and the bear. It's fun to stare down your opponent and give him your best "Let the Wookie Win" advice when it comes to business with the bear.

Actually (I do not have the link handy) it was rules by an infernal that the bear gets into the party as a guest with Brun.

    The bear will play!

Also with a gunbunny as a escort could Bulldoze see you push models closer to Brun and Lug?

-1 Str on the military rifle too. Got to pay the Merc Tax!

...hrm. Do you think that -2 spd and -1 Str on one weapon is enough to get the Flak Field?
