I recently purchased pGaspy and the Cankerworm because I wanted an small Cryx army (15 - 25pt) and I was wondering if the battlebox would be an nice addition.

Actually, my favorite mangled metal pGaspy is Reaper, canker, ripjaw, Deathripper...maybe you can go with the battle box and get the other bits on PP store.

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world and it wouldn't be the best. But you would get a heavy and three arc nodes, and more importantly, a whole new (and powerful) caster. pAsphyxious will work just fine with a gaggle of arc nodes on the table...He will make them hit surprisingly hard, and at 4-5 pts a pop, it's foolish to think of our chickens as just nodes with legs.

When I first purchased Cryx models, I bought the battlebox, some banes, and pGaspy at the same time. I assembled it all, threw pDenny in my case and used the battlebox, pGaspy, and liberal application of bane thralls for the longest time and did about average. Had lots of fun as well. The only thing you'll wish is that you had help actually hitting stuff (which pDenny solves nicely). pGaspy is also my favorite. You'll enjoy it, trust me.

Like Max says, it's not the best or the worst additions to a pGaspy force. And price wise it's hard to walk past.
Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Having played with 2/3's of out casters now, I would say pGaspy makes a good alternate battle box caster. Not as great as pDenny, but I feel is in some ways a little more balanced to other factions battle boxes.
When playing against a new player I typically use pGaspy instead of pDenny if we are doing battle box games.
