    Default Curse

    Any of you afflicted by a curse? I know a while ago my friend had the Curse of Ashes to Ashes, where he would always roll a 1 when it came to secondary targets.

    Me, I've recently found my own curse -- The Curse of Narn. MAT 8, SPD 7, Pathfinder, Acrobatics, it is hard to find a more deadly solo.

    3 out of 3 games thus far, I've had Narn charge something and miss. Both times. First game was a Manhunter solo (with Treewalker), so okay, I can understand. Second game he charged Eiryss and missed (though he got his one and only kill here, when she ate a free strike from him). Third game he charged a Tuffalo, needing 4s, and missed both times again.

    I am going to play him until I break this curse.

    Yup one of my mechanics, always the one to roll first each time, always fails. i cant think of a game when my mechanic actually repaired something. Seriously...

    I have a bad streak of luck on my MHSF Commander, even with higher RAT he ends up missing the shot while his troops hits the mark. The same can be said on my Garryth's pistol assassination runs, with two shots I only managed to land one with a spectacular roll, but the other shot either misses (on boosted rolls) or just fails in the damage rolls. "orz

    But nothing compares to my friend's (Cygnar player) luck w/ Versh, he had my MHA knocked down via Tremor and rolled snake eyes on Versh's first multi-fire attack roll

    That's not a curse, the little guys just get so used to using their remotes with the Concentrated Power and Power Booster buttons that they forget to bring wrenches. There's a reason why unlike every other nation, Ios calls theirs "Arcanists" not "Mechanics"

    My buddy's Lord of the feats had 3 chances to roll a 6 and start mauling my Halbs over two games, and missed all three.

    I have an issue rolling 9s on three dice. Haven't been able to do that in a while.

    I am modding my second arcanist with a coffee cup and just did away with the wrench and they do forget how to use it when the time comes to fix my phoenix thermal blade.

    I have horrible luck with Command checks. In my first tourney ever, my Dawnguard units failed command checks 3 times in a row, even with the Standard. My MHSF guys apparently pee themselves when their friends die, too, in the last few games, anyway. The Archers haven't really proven their fearlessness over time, either.

    See my sig. Some of my buddies, whether they're playing WMH with another faction, D&D or board games, have started referring to an improbably abysmal roll on a big fistful of dice as "Ravyn Dice", thanks to me.

    I have "Curse of Shredder". I just can't kill little buggers! All other dragonspawn usually goes down quite nicely ("be so nice and die, har-har-har"). But shredders are just... invincible! My attacks whiff 70% of time. And when they do connect I usually roll double 1s. I started to boost against little pests only to find myself rolling triple ones for damage.
    And the worst thing - my most common matchup is LoE.
    Damn. I hate shredders so much...

    My Scattergunners always flee...with the standard. I haven't gotten a Ret curse yet.

    The Curse continues. Narn charges a Precursor Knight in order to activate Sprint and get at the back field. He hits and kills, the Precursor Knight toughs it due to Rhupert. He auto hits and kills again, Precursor Knight toughs once more, leaving Narn a sitting duck in front of a Defender.

    So, he's getting a little better... At least he hit this time, but yet again, he fails to kill anything on the charge. Sad day.

    Mine have wrenches.

    Apparently everyone here has Assassins who hit all of the time. It's starting to get to the point where I'm considering just running my assassins into melee since I know they're going to hit diddly anyway.

    I consistantly miss with (Ravyn) feated mhsf. Its pretty demoralising...

    Also no matter what happens the opsing heavies always seem to roll up 14+ damage on their charges and mine either miss or wing in for 6-8. I get really sad about it sometimes - lol.

    I miss constantly with eEyirss with both PoM and RoS. 3 shots attempted 3 shots missed. Very frustrating,

    This + 1 billion.

    I have missed at least 60% of my feat shots needing 9s and 10s. One of the reasons I am taking Ossyan over Ravyn for L&L. I just don't roll well with her. Ever.

    I've been on a good streak with my MHAs, lately. A few days ago, Old Witch + Death Star was eating my army alive, so I tried to kill her and failed. I had maybe 7 models left in a 50 point game, and the last model I had to activate was my surviving MHA, which I thought would miss. Not only did she manage to hit, but she rolled a 13 on 3 dice (couldn't charge), which was enough to one-shot her, anyway.

    Last year, I had a few months in a row that she didn't hit anything. All 1s and 2s on two dice.

    I'm with you syfer22, for me Narn always seem to miss with his first attack no matter what he tries to hit, that and the constant failure of my MHSF's command checks, they did make it in my last game though so maybe their curse is lifted.

    Okay, the curse was broken for a game with a vengeance.

    Narn started things off by charging a Temple Flameguard... Whiffing on the charge attack. Not the best start, but he hits with the next attack and kills him, sprinting off into the woods while the Sentinels tie up the rest.

    Next turn, he charges another couple of TFG in the back while they're busy dealing with Sentinels, kills them, and sprints off to safety again. A couple of MHSF members draw a bead on eFeora (her bonded Judicator was already destroyed) and one of them hits, and rolls a 10 for damage, dealing 3 points.

    Turn after that, eFeora charges a MHSF member to get Garryth within her control area in order to keep him roasting. Narn charges her, hits... Rolls a total of 20 on 4 dice, dealing 14 points of damage and killing her off.

    Hopefully he can keep this going, but that sort of made up for... Pretty much everything else thus far. Destor Thane did pretty amazing work as well; Ride By + Multifire is beautiful. Cleared out a Cleanser Officer, 7 Cleansers, 3 Choir Members and 1 Vassal, and his mobility kept him out of harm's way of charging weaponmasters in the form of Gaius and Cassian. Not to mention he survived a 6 member Cleanser CRA.

    I myself seem to only be cursed when I play my really good friend. I usually roll pretty well, but when it comes to playing him it turns into a nightmare.

    Just to reaffirm:

    Played a game with Ravyn vs kraken and Morty. Feat turn 4/9 remaining MHSF hit they shots needing 9s and lower for a total of 4 damage. Hyperion with feat hit deathjack only twice needing 8s.

    Turn previous only two CMA charges from Halbs hit the satyxis. Only 4/11 aiming MHSF hit deathjack foe q total of 6 damage.

    This is why I do not play Ravyn LOL.
