    Default Bane Thrall Question

anyone else not bother with the spikes on the back. im scared that if i paint/seal them, after the repeated use/putting in, taking out of the bag will bend them and just chip off.

    pictures/suggestions?

The wear and tare is horrid, I have 2 units of banes. 1 with spikes and 1 without, I wen't with the spikeless option because the original units had lots of bending and chipping going on. It's going to be a redoo on that unit in the future for me.

I use wider storage trays from KR, which helps a lot with bending and rubbing issues.

Also I suspected wear would happen on the spikes, so I gave the models a coat of gloss on its sticky out areas, which has done wonders. I've had only one chip so far, which was by catching the model.

I don't put them on mine, I also clipped off all the spikes on the axe blades and filed all the blade edges smooth.

I have two units of Banes. One classic unit, with the spike holes filled in with GS. And another unit of the new ones without spikes as well. (which are spikes on plates actually and thus don't need filling except for the UA).

Not only are they easier to transport, but I actually prefer the look of them without. The Banes are big and heavy. The spindly spikes on their backs seem all out of proportion with the rest of them.

For love. For honor. For Devilsquid.

i always thought that the spikes were suppose to represent the graveyard fence, as they were freshly risen. so it added some undeady graveyard touch to them, but im probably completely wrong.

I left them off of my Banes except for the leader of the unit, which I have pinned and attach when I play them. I liked that once since it has a skull on it.

I have a Battlefoam bag, so they lay down in the case, which doesn't work for the Banes.
