Title says it all. Is PP still producing product for Monsterpocalypse? One of my local game shops has some on the shelf, but admits they've been sitting there a while. I saw them the other day and thought they looked kinda neat.

Quoth the Feral Warpwolf: "MMM BACON!!!"
If all else fails, counterattack. At least you'll go down with dice in your hand.
Lose or win gracefully and with good humor, and you will never lack for opponents.
Always remember the dice hate everyone. That includes you.
The two player battle box is constantly selling at my FLGS. She sells about 2 a month. She still has boosters on the shelf that doesn't move very well though.
Can't say i'm hugely surprised by that.
Here, the 2 player box set is 50 bucks... comes with everything you'll need for 2 people; then the individual monsters are 15 each. plus another 15 for a booster of units... with no guarantee that any of it will match. :s
Privateer Press is not making new stuff for this game, and is not supporting it outside of a single small tournament at Gencon.
As far as Privateer Press is concerned, this is a dead game.
However, the fans are still keeping it alive in a few locations. However, if you don't live in one of those few places with an active fan community, your chances of finding someone to play it with are somewhere between zero and none.
I honestly wish I could say otherwise, as I think this is one of the best games ever made, period.
I was just taking a look at the Gencon event listings. I am not finding a monsterpocalypse even listed.
I don't think you'll get much argument there. It is a very solid, fun game to play.
As for Gen Con, no events appear in the online catalog, but they are planning on doing something via Iron Arena. Waiting for further details. The fact that (as of today) there is no solid confirmation on a Singles and Doubles Master type event is rather disappointing. If I was planning on going to Gen Con, it would be for those two events.
On a brighter note. MONCON III is happening in Tulsa, OK next weekend. Four days of NOTHING but Monsterpocalypse events. As someone that was lucky to participate in the first two conventions, I'm happy to be going back for number three. Lot's of great people, high level competition, along with less stressful casual events.
Say hi to Jace when you get there. He is representing Olympia and the rest of the Puget sound area.
I would love to attend MONCON. Unfortunately it won't happen this year. Maybe next year I can afford to attend.
