    Default Galleon Speculation Lists

    This is a thread for us to play around and speculate as to what lists we would like to add the Galleon to. Just to keep it close to what we know already, we will use 19 for its points (hopefully until Friday).


    I will start with a Tier 4 Ashlynn Theme Force:


    Ashlynn +6
    -Vanguard 5
    -Vanguard 5
    - Galleon 19

    Anastasia 2
    Taryn 2
    Gun Mages 6
    -UA 0
    -Mule or Mariner 8
    Gun Mages 6
    -UA 2


    The funny part of this list is that I would use it against other colossals just for Taryn's guns to shoot through the other colossals at models hiding behind it. Then on the feat turn is when things would get interesting hoping that I can get Anastasia's ability to go off getting more attacks from the Galleon. And Quicken on it? Too much fun! Using a Colossal for an assassination run? I think yes! But, this could also go over to a Highborn list really easily too, taking out the Vanguards and one Gun Mage Unit adding 16 points back to the list to work with then. I'm excited for what this list could accomplish.

    And, just for fun, here's a Bartolo List at 50 pts:

    I just like the idea of running 2 Galleons with Batten Down the Hatches and Broadsides on the same caster. Looks, again, like too much fun.

    I think Jackhammer may make the Main Moustache a popular caster with it. That's a lot of potential attacks a turn.

    Shae will be able to speed it up some with Coup de Main, and allow it to buy three attacks since it can charge for free. Too bad his feat doesn't work on it.

    @ Bart:
    I'd still take only one ... thats more than enough firepower to make him a justifyable HotShot target ... plus noone really needs Broadside (I for one rarely use it - since batten allready takes half my foc and I usually allways have hotshot up - that leaves 2 foc for any jack) ...

    but a galleon (that will supposedly 18 points - we get everything cheeper but it kinda is more than one point worse than the stuff of the main factions) and 2 Rovers makes me giggle ... add a Mangler to that for some Facebashing and I'm happy

    sorry, is the reason his feat won't work because they can't b moved out of their activation?
    Freebooter VS Nomad
    This is assuming charging, and against a knocked down target with armor 20 (average d6 roll is a 3.5)
    Freebooter: 14+14=28 14+10.5=25 for a total damage of 13
    Nomad : 17+10.5=28 14+7=21 for a total damage of 9

    Yea. Otherwise, MacBain would be the man with Energizer, Jackhammer, and Fail Safe. As it is, I think he'll still be really good with one.

    OMG! I had not thought about him yet! Failsafe all the way!!!


    edit: Ok, how about a 100pts game with MacBain!!! and Ashlynn for some amazing feat turn smashing on her feat? OMG... What about an Unbound game with 3 casters and each of them controlling 2 Galleon at the same time?!?! Just the thought of seeing 6 of them on the field at once seems amazing!

    I doubt it, as Galleon can only move during his own activation.

    Stormwall is FA:2 nothing indicates any of the Collosals are characters. I'm unsure of the FA of the Galleon.

    apparently magnus and bart have cobbled together 3 of these things, so i would say, no, not a character jack.

    I'm looking at this for some absolutely silly ranged shenanigans followed up with absurd close combat ability, and held up by some pretty sweet focus efficiency. Mags will probably have 4 upkeeps going on 'Jacks at all times, turning him effectively into a 10 focus caster. Take that Harby!

    Dougal will be something of a staple simply due to Artillerist - the RAT7 guns are going to be a much more effective workhorse than the flashy minifeat - not that the feat will be bad, just that 2-6 deck guns will make a mess of low ARM units.

    Its also interesting how the simple change of adding a target class (colossals) to the game makes some selections more appealing - I actually considered casting Powder Keg, for example.

    Why Sylys with E Magnus, out of curiosity? Why not Dirty meg to repair the Galleon and hide behind its huge base? In my experience Sylys doesn't run well with E Magnus, since he is really only upkeeping 1 spell (bullet dodger). Dougal would be better too.

    Thor (2) (MORE REPAIR for Galleon!)

    Magnus and all the solos can hide behind the Colossal, with Boomhowler and Co preventing anyone from flanking you.


    Edit: Upon further review, I cannot wait to run this list. It is so beautifully cruel and monstrous. I'd play Godzilla music on my Iphone as Galleon advances up the field.

    Just 35 points of Galleon stomping down the field with full support. Just want to try and max out what it can do.

    To help make Calamity hit and the extra damage on Obliteration. Renegade has an arc node to.
