My Scenario Board props to Khador_Warrior

So I decided to make my own Scenario Board props to Khador_Warrior for the idea (http://privateerpressforums.com/show...ario-Board-WIP).

I'm almost done with it one more half to but I figured I would post a little preview.


The static grass is drying on second half of the board a few touch up and it is done.

Are those beans for rocks? Looks great. The rocky area almost looks like some sort of drainage culvert...I'll have to keep that in mind for future projects.

Yeah, I used baby lima beans, basically used liquid nail from a chalk gun and spread it in and stuck beans into it. I'll be posting WIP pics when I finish the other side.

Here the pics are finally got a chance to put them up. Thanks again to Khador Warrior for the idea. Me and my friend finished it the other night. I ended up with a pretty big mistake that I'll point out below but it still turned out ok. If you have any question let me know.

This was my wife's idea to draw the circles it worked out great til I some how screwed it up later on, on the second side of the board.

Finished cutting the channels for the pathways


Here the pathway with the beans, basically it is Liquid Nails heavy duty adhesive with bean pulled into it.

I decided to add in randon static grass in the pathway which turned out great. I used Woodland Scenic Scenic Cement to seal it, just attached a spray head to the bottle and sprayed it down it sealed the grass and rocks well.

HERE IS MY MISTAKE, as you can see the insider side of the outer circles don't line up this happened on both sides, I thinki that went to did the circles the compass shifted. The middle one worked out great though.

silly question... but won't the beans decompose over time?

Only if they aren't dried first.

If they are dry and hard they last for years.

If they get wet they will start to rot.

They were dried bean and I painted them with craft paint you buy at Wal-Mart didn't soak them with paint or anything so I except it to last I mean it is painted and sealed so I would see now reason for them to decompose except over a long period of time, like years.

about the circles, it looks like you traced inside one half and outside one half. If you make another circle on the inside youll be fine, basically just double up that circle, maybe maye it a cobble deally or sumfin.

Now i see the sand around the circle, it may be trickier than i thought.

It is actually static grass not moss but now that you mention moss would be a good thing to add too. I was thinking grass growing up between the stones.

Now you need to make a couple of statues to go on the circles when not used for scenarios

They're the circles from the basic rulebook scenarios, not the SR ones, so they won't be changing anytime soon.
