    Default 35p list with a helljack, cant decide which caster

    My regular opponents get increasingly good in handling infantry swarms so i decided trying to start using a heavy in my 35p list(s). I also decided that i was using too much Satyxis (about 80% of my games involve either Skarre and nearly 100% use the Satyxis Raiders) and that i never really field my Bane unit.

    I thought about a few lists and came up with two possible casters and 4 versions now i just cant decide who would run this list best (but i'm slightly leaning towards eDenny for her 'an answer for everything' spell list)

    Points: 35/35
    Wraith Witch Deneghra (*6pts)
    * Nightwretch (4pts)
    * Nightwretch (4pts)
    * Nightmare (10pts)
    * Skarlock Thrall (2pts)
    Bane Thralls (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
    * Bane Thrall Officer & Standard (3pts)
    Bane Lord Tartarus (4pts)
    Gorman di Wulfe, Rogue Alchemist (2pts)
    Warwitch Siren (2pts)
    Warwitch Siren (2pts)

    Alternatively pDenny instead of her epic version and kick out Gorman for a MachineWraith since she has 1 less WJP and Stealth for extra protection.

    OR

    Points: 33/35
    Lord Exhumator Scaverous (*5pts)
    * Nightwretch (4pts)
    * Nightwretch (4pts)
    * Erebus (8pts)
    * Skarlock Thrall (2pts)
    Bane Thralls (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
    * Bane Thrall Officer & Standard (3pts)
    Bane Lord Tartarus (4pts)
    Machine Wraith (1pts)
    Warwitch Siren (2pts)
    Warwitch Siren (2pts)

    Alternatively out with Erebus and a Nightwretch and in with the Deathjack.

    Any input on these lists is highly appreciated.

    I like the eDenny list, 50 points could add Nyss and WSC?
    Scaverous isn't bad, but not what I'd usually take with him, Malice + WSC is nice with him though and still uses a helljack. With all that Telekinesis, you can greatly improve the threat range of Dark Industries. And I personally think Knights are ace with him, since they already have a high innate threat range, which only gets better with TK, while Death Ward puts their ARM at a respectable 18.

    Tested the eDeneghra variant vs Cygnar with Kara Sloan today.

    Sloan, Rheinhold, Squire
    Avenger, Defender
    eEiyriss
    Murdoch + Nyss
    Rangers

    Scenario was Overrun.

    Turn 1 - Me - Ran / advanced
    Turn 1 - Kara - positioned Rangers ran forward. Defender shot at Nightwretch and nearly killed it.

    Turn 2 - Me - Denny Incorporeal, Nightwretch runs, Denny advance and Hellmouth on Murdoch kill him and 5 Nyss, Venom kills Squire and Rheinhold, rest runs
    Turn 2 - Kara - Rangers run to Denny, kara advance feat, Shoot Denny hit boost damage for 11 damage, shots again hits Denny dead.

    As usual Banes underperformed, even Ghostwalked and running they just never reach anything SPD 5 is just way too slow...
    Everything stealthed was not a good thing since my enemy just had to walk around the gorman cloud to shoot me. Banes were simply ignored.

    I need to learn something i never really did: playing way back. Usually i ram my fast units in the enemy line early so i can put my caster further up front. Will play test this list a few more times.

    You said it. Neither Denny is a fighter. Keep them well protected and back. Their command range of 14 (at least for pDenny) is pretty good and should allow enough range to cast.

    Don't forget she stays stealthed until attacking but if you really get in trouble, cast ghost walk on yourself while running to a safer place. Also, if they are ignoring your banes, why not put Denny behind them? Just watch out for tramples and slams.
    Playing: Khador, Legion, Cryx, Trollbloods, Menoth

    Err, you're mixing up a lot there. Both Dennies have a control area of 14. Stealth stays all the time, it's the Incorporeal you lose when you perform a ranged or melee attack (casting spells is perfectly fine)

    I do agree though, if you keep Denny 4-5" behind the banes, they'd have to get into stealth range to shoot Denny, meaning they wouldn't ignore the Banes for LoS anymore. Also, deciding when to go Incorporeal can be the hardest decision for eDenny. Once you play her a bit more, you'll get the hang of it and it should work better.

    Rule of thumb: every caster has at least one magical weapon. If his/her melee weapon looks badass, it's probably that one, if the gun looks powerful, it's going to be that one

    Also a good idea, if you don't feel safe behind Gorman's cloud and your opponent has no way of ignoring concealment, is to stand inside it, DEF18 is nothing to sneeze at and even RAT7 will miss at least half their attacks, even boosted.
