25 Point Mangled Metal List

My LGS is hosting a Colossal Clash 25 Point Mangled Metal Tournament with steam Roller scenarios where the first place winner gets a free Colassal. So I came up with 2 magnus lists that I am thinking of running let me know what you guys think or a different list all together

List 1

I honestly think you should switch the casters between the 2 lists.
looking at your selection of war jacks, I think theier feats and spells would be better on the other jacks.
Iron aggression just screams to be used on a mangler, and pmagnus feat IMHO seems better with a melee focus, not a ranged focus list. Just my 2cents.

You could do a Bad Seeds list and give Magnus2 access to a Defender.

Magnus1 is pretty solid as you can upkeep for free and he will have the best focus allocation of all Mercs. Plus it's not to likely to run into man purification casters baring a Harby MM/TC tier. He does have one of the weaker feats for this type of event though.

Renegades are really great to take against Skarre2 as she tends to dominate in this format due to her feat. Just try to keep the Renegades back so you can shoot your own stuff and hit her with boosted blast damage.


Of these two, I'd go with Magnus1. But I think I'd personally end up running Bart or MacBain. Batten will go a long way in this format since you can lose by just having your jacks destroyed and a ton of ARM 22-23 jacks will really hurt the opponent. I'd lead with a jack as bait and force him to try to kill that jack but have several jacks as backup. Mangler is a good jack here thanks to his chain weapon meaning even at PS17 he should be doing pretty solid damage to even the avatar. His feat is also really solid. Not too many things can send a ton of jacks in on feat turn. The Moustache can do a lot with Energizer, Jackhammer, and Failsafe. Even running a jack up, then using Jackhammer to dish out punishment from 12 inches back. Fortune is also pretty solid on Merc jacks to help with their Mat 6, and Rift may prove to be useful since it does create rough terrain. His feat though will be useless sadly.

I ca't switch the 2 casters cause the point reduction on the renegades
