Well, I never started a Highborn Covenant army because I didn't like Ashlynn's sculpt. "I'll wait for a resculpt" I said. Now I have no excuse.

This is pretty good timing. I just busted Ashlynn out of storage last weekend. I quite like the inclusion of the flag. At the very least it should head off those periodic questions regarding Llael's flag.

I hadn't noticed the Privateer Exclusive part before, but it seems a few other things are labeled as such, like the Extreme Sculpts, and pHaley variant. Is that just the tag for it being only available through the Privateer webstore?

I've always loved Ashlynn ever since I saw the artwork and read her fluff in the Merc book. I've been saying that I'll start a merc army as soon they do a resculpt!

And here it is! Do I start a merc army or do I splurge on the new Protectorate heavy jack kit? Damn you PP for making me choose!

Usually when you see a caster that comes with its own base its an epic. Totally thought this was Epic Ashlynn when I first saw it.

edit: damn making this a privateer exclusive is extremely short sighted. I don't really feel like paying 50$ for this model.

^^^ Edit: It sounds like the left hand and flag are all one piece, in which case I will probably replace it with an upraised pistol - pretty sure you can buy Ashlynn's left arm from the bits store, and if not you can certainly get Taryns. I'd actually like to make them swappable, because I like the giant banner for display purposes.

The listed price is $17.99, which is on par with other warcasters with big dramatic elements (Haley, Feora, slightly less than Irusk).

I guess the Privateer Exclusive is like the Black Dragon Iron Fangs. I'm pretty sure you can order those from webstores. You probably can get her early at cons and later on she will follow as a general release. At least I certainly hope so!

May be possible to swap a gun into her flag hand...and give the flag to Long Gunner UA.

Something I just noticed: it looks like the model is well-balanced as well. The flag flies directly over her, so there should be much chance of her continually falling over, even though she is metal. I can think of a few Imperial Guard models that have this problem.

This was the sculpt we have waited so long for. Comes too late for me (I've drank the Rancor kool-aid), but I am over-joyed to see it regardless. Painting is top notch too.

Hopefully Herr Klocke's wonderful Ashlynn bobble-head can now be retired with all honours that sculpt is due. By the same token, we need to finally praise Rob Liefeld for his drawing prowess of realistic feet.

In other news, I just broke my sarcasmotron typing that last paragraph.
