The beast pthags brings back is placed within 3" so would that mean you can't bring back an arcangel since is can't be placed?

That has now fallen into question. Models that cannot be placed are still allowed to come on a reinforcements, so it may not apply. I figure a ruling or tactical tip wil be with the rules since the issue keeps being asked about.

As for the model, it's the dragon I've been Wanting since Legion released. I can definately see myself getting two.

I was just at L&L today, and I can assure you that the model is more than 12" tall. It will be an insane pain in the *** to move it around, but it will be ridiculously worth it. It just looks phenomenal. I'm really not much of a painter, and I barely care about the aesthetics of the game, but that model is stunning. Even without any detail work it has an amazing sense of presence and power.

Indeed, you're quite right, but it required a ruling from Hacksaw to make it allowable. I don't Thag's feat will be errata'd to work on the Archangel.

Look, Im a warmachine player at heart but....Don't the New colossal beasts look kinda bland? I know that the Colossal jacks are just giant colossi's but their body designs are different and they don't look like just bigger jacks. They look all around different.

These beasts just look dull to me.

Okay, stat predictions (I can post stats on the forum if they're coming off the top of my head, right?):

SPD 6 or 7. STR 14-16. MAT 6, RAT 5. DEF 12, ARM 18.

Weapons; Its tail has POW 0-2, Chain Strike and Armour Piercing. Its front claws are the same as a Carnivean or Ravagore's. And it has some kind of flamey death breath. Also possibly a bite attack with Crit Consume.

The underlying assertion confirmed by Hacksaw was that, excepting deployment, rules on a model's card don't come into play until the model itself is in play. Assuming that this is upheld Thags would be just fine without an errata, in fact he'd need one specifically to stop his resurrection shenanigans.

Our lore is based on dragons and we have lots of vaguely dragon-like beasts. I see nothing wrong with our "ultimate" beast being more of a traditional dragon. It just fits.

A traditional dragon (with a blighted twist) is very much what I'd expect from Everblight.

Hmm, well that's not quite how I read it. I read it specifically as him saying "That is the correct intent", meaning that the actual argument the poster made is not quite right. But I suppose it could go either way. We'll have to see. If it works, that's just one more reason to play more pThags.
