The Forsaken Back Story?

I just read the Forsaken back story and it makes no sense can someone explain it?

to me it seems like an alien race that killed itself off, is now corrupt and spawns when there is a great amount of stress in battle

Do i have it right? (correct me if no)

When you say 'The Forsaken Backstory', do you mean the fluff text associated with the model entry? Also, could I recommend making a single post with all applicable comments and returning to it to edit in more (if necessary) rather than making multiple posts, back-to-back-to-back?

The forsaken are a nasty mutation that doesn't have a known trigger. They're very attuned to the blight. Remember, they used to be nyss.

When Nyss are exposed to long amounts of high blight (those near beasts, casters, etc) at times cannot handle the mutation for some reason, or are 'keyed' by Everblight (or perhaps Vayl, or both in some way), and make a spontatious and swift mutation into a Forsaken.
