one other problem with this, warlocks usually have to act 1st to get their melee beasts into combat and still in control area, at best she might be fury 6 but still means you will never be able to put anything in front of her unless using pure shooty beasts because she wont be able to manoeuvre past anything.

Part of me thinks its an amazing new direction for the char in the story arch... the other part of me is currently in *** mode due to the fact that of all the casters I wanted to see in a battle engine a fury 5 caster is not one of them. Another larger part of me...the biggest of these is irritated that Instead of a newly reformed( from eating someone else's heart stone) THag/everblight being the first ever battle Engine/warlock...we get our emo blighted robinhood...hell as sad as it is I'd have been more accepting of Saryn, or Vayl in the thing... at least they make sense riding around...Lylyth...maybe if they had put her ON an elk...sure

Looking at the concept art again, is she actually stringing a cluster of arrows? Might be a hint, perhaps Rapid Fire. Or maybe a spray or AoE.

That concept is one of the most ridiculous things that I have seen in miniature gaming. You take the scout caster in Everblight and put her on a sled? Thagrosh evolving into a huge dragon: I would be all over it! Santa Clausette? Not so much...

Thankfully I can do the same thing I did with the hentai battle engine and just not buy it.

You guys are missing one amazing thing with her being pulled by cav. Ride by Attack, with a range 12 caster (with maybe snipe or some sort) and her RAT that's some dead models with yoyo abilities built into the model. Then if the Raptors part stays true they have always been considered light cav theme, if it continues with her, then after advancing shooting on the move, retreating, on top of it all move again "5 more. Most cav are speed 8" that's a lot of movement syngery going on for a caster. Giving her a good deal of threat range and retreat range as a model.

Now that would be interesting. Kill off the sleigh, then she reappears like a dragoon. Doubtful but it would be cool. The best thing about PP is that they playtest the crud out of these things. She might not end up being ab-fab but I seriously doubt she'll suck.

I wouldn't have really had a problem with Vayle or someone else riding around on this thing. That'd make it like the White Witch of Narnia. It just seems weird that the person riding the sled and leaving this gigantic footprint on the gaming table is the stealthy scout and silent hunter of the team.

The idea of Lylth being too similar to Anyssa if she were on an elk is an odd thought. That's like saying Sloan was a bad concept because she looks too much like long gunners.

Chariots were the top dog in war on earth for a long time, they never (maybe?) put giant ballistas on top of them, because they were used as mobile artillery, but as a hit and run vehicle.

Something really obvious I don't think people are getting: she's NOT the stealthy scoutmaster. Not anymore. Everblight has decided that the time for sneaking and subtlety is over. It's in his nature, dragons don't hide their light under a bushel. The spawning of the Thrones is a long-delayed project he finally gave the green light to, the Archangels are the same. Lylyth is a battlefield commander and her goal is to make an impact on her enemies. She's always been the Herald of Everblight. The Herald's job is to go out ahead and say "Look out! Guess who's coming?! You better prepare!"

There was a time while he was marshaling his forces and gathering his strength that Everblight had to be subtle and stealthy, but with Blightergast's summons going out that time is over. Now he rides to war in his full glory, and his herald has to be equally impressive. This chariot perfectly fits that theme-- aggressive, obvious, glorious and impossible to hide from.

I'm not going to fuss about how she plays until I've seen some rules. It's purely on aesthetic grounds that I dislike her. Unless the IK is going into a sudden ice age a sled is a uniquely bad form of transport. And even in snowy areas you have to either have roads, or be beyond the the tree line to go anywhere.

In the last bunch of books eLylth has been nowhere she could have taken a sled, so this just feels like an out of left field idea that got ran with and grew out of control. Yes having a Bodecia or Thor on a chariot or sled is cool, but it's not an idea that I feel translates well to the IK.

I like the concept (battle engine caster), but it should be pulled by Raeks so it has some power of invisibility, the reindeer are just going to get painted with big red noses and become a joke model.

While she may be on a super heavy base if the concept art is anything to by she's going to occupy much less space and use less material then all the existing battle engines. I'm hoping the price tag ends up reflecting that somewhere around the $60-70 mark.

Very intriguing concept; artistically, strategically, and character-wise.

I'm totally down with a mega-speedy, uber-shooty, platform-type caster. I'm also excited to anticipate a new tier with raptors as the highlight, perhaps powered up with her spell list/feat. I'm concerned, as most seem, about her survivability but have faith that there will be a substantial rule in place to keep her out of harms way (ah-la Rasheth). Quite the painting project too! What fun all that filigree will be!

Any takers on her actually counting as a battle engine? Or just another 255+ word rule? ;-)

I think all the battle engine rules will apply since it'll be the same sort of size as the Khador war wagon, I imagine, maybe a little smaller.

I highly doubt it. What would you have it count as? Large like the Raptors?

Watching the lost hemisphere video again, PP describe her as an epic cavalry battle engine warlock, and all of those things are key words. The word 'light' before the word 'cavalry' is noticeable by it's absence. I fully expect this to have a mount attack, power attack trample, weapon platform and trampling hooves rules similar to the existing trollblood BE. Pre deploying your warlock is gonna suck tho.

This would be some serious tonnage of awesome... I've enjoyed Legion fluff the most from Lylyth's point of view, in Primal, Evolution, the bit in Domination, only Everblight himself brings a better read so far. (and it's too much to expect Him to sing and dance for us... or is it?)
