Default Wrath of the Titans 35pts (it's happening)

This demands to be done (and indeed I'm already working on acquiring the funds through painting projects)

    pVyros
    -Hyperion
    -Hyperion
    Arcanist
    Arcanist
    Sylys

    Current thought process is:
-The list more or less would Hard counter normally annoying match-ups for Ret (basically the griefing engine list). Gators can't even begin to put a dent in it, p and eFeora would have some issues and eLylyth has to eat through all 64 hit boxes (and unless she does it in a turn Hyperion can heal 2D6 + 1D3 per turn) to get to pVyros. Mobility and running first turn would put both titans on objectives pretty easily too, so unless they want to sell their armies piecemeal to not lose to scenario it should attrition fine.
-It's also much akin to bringing Terminus, he's not so much a "good" caster as one that you could get blindsided by if you werent prepared and 128 hits points of ARM 19 awesome combined with hitting like a runaway truck is something you could easily suprise an opponent with.
-If you're wondering why pVyros, he's one of the few Ret casters that has a straight SPD buff, so it still works on Hyperion, he's got Bird's eye, so shutting the army down by throwing out clouds or hiding behind a forest doesn't work, but more importantly gaining focus every time you destroy a model would allow Hyperion to do signifigantly more damage than 3 focus. Even just the secondary shots firing D3 could all have boosted attack rolls because each hiti is netting you an additional focus and just having the arcanist giving it a focus to do a sweep power attack could give you enough kills to get Hyperion back up to full power. It also makes the Colossal difficult to disable, since a quick Repair by the Arcanist and a few kills from the feat gets all titans systems back and full focus.

Certainly not applicable for all situations, but more than a few of the "always bring this against Ret lists" would be blindsided and ground to paste which is the real appeal. Regardless, double Hyperion's is cool enough I'll probably do it even if the list flops, but I'm pretty sure when your caster is commanding a pair of doom robots with distentigration rays it's legally required to twirl your mustache and cakcle maniacally.

I like it, I think it can definitely work for those match ups you mentioned. Let us know how it turns out.

And don't forget he's also the only caster with an ARM buff. ARM 21 Hyperion, yay!

It pretty much goes without saying that it would have horrible, horrible matchups but it could be fun.

I have plans to playtest a big Guy with Disco and Ravyn soon.

Did I miss a spoiler? Does Hyperion have Phoenix field or some other rule?

I think its probably the best option we have right now...

I'm not, it's just wishful thinking. Had a multi-caster game (150pts) where a Hydra got crippled turn 2 and a pair of Arcanists rushed to help. By turn 6 their combined expertise had repaired a single hit point.

If I ever really need to roll an 11, I just close my eyes and tell myself I'm trying to do a Storm Call... The repair ability should probably just read "heal one damage box" because I'm not sure I've ever actually got more than that on a repair roll...

To be fair, they probably spent 3 of turns pressing the "concentrated power" and "power booster" buttons on their remotes before realizing I needed them to fix somehting and dumping their coffe on the warjack.

Its funny you guys have issues with repairs. My dice chronically roll low so rolling an 8 or less pretty much always works for me LOL!

Nah, Mastershake was saying that between the grid and the shield, you can heal 2d6 + 1d3 a turn.

This definitely seems like a good Lylyth2 counter. I can imagine Ravagores trying to angle around behind the Hyperions to get a shot at Vyros:

Anything with a Bronzeback in it, those things can seriously overkill most things in the game right now that Skorne is happy to see Colossals me thinks.

I was thinking focus stripping feats as well. Scenarios like incursion to.

Average Rushed Bronzeback still doesn't threat as far as a Mobilitied Hyperion (and in this list can't beat back anything to increase SPD) and Swinging POW 22's with Concentrated Power, Hyperion will turn one into paste pretty easily.

I was thinking focus stripping feats as well. Scenarios like incursion to.
Less concerning, Feat and Power Booster can give focus outside of Vyros himself handing it out and scenarios where they'd have to split up, the bigger threat is actually assassinations. In that case I'd just position to stop my opponent from scoring rather than go for points myself.

Hell idk, I was under the impression that (if lanyssa was included of course) we could potentially have the fastest colossals out there 12 inch charge range, and 14 inch threat range. Plus if vyros gets his focus stripped, hes got his feat to just build it back no? I just love the idea of the TITAN SMASH!!! I mean, imagen if you were facing something that large, and it was running at you at super light speed? terrifying....

18 points + Anything with Disruption, would hurt.

Can't be knocked down or placed or anything like that, but can still be Disrupted.

Might want to read the rules again, colossals can't be disrupted and because Hyperion is (presumably) a Myrmidon, eEyriss also can't stop allocation by standing near him. The only thing that could stop allocation would be a destroyed Cortex, an Agnoizer or Hypnos' gun under Ossyan.

I'd be half tempted to drop Sylas, dawns talon tier it and add in either an aspis or a thane.

I thinkk that theme list just picked up a lot of grunt!

At fifty, you can double Hyperion, double arcanist, and then you have twenty points left to flesh it out. Full Sentinels and full halbs isnt very creative but it certianly puts a solid wall of good melee troops there to back up those two starfire cannons.

I may be reading this wrong, but it sounds like you think Hyperion is cheaper in this theme list - it isn't because it isn't a heavy jack.

I guess I was using the Gargantuans rules and obviously a Warbeast can't be disrupted so it wouldn't have mentioned it there.

I don't think I've seen a document for Colossals, cannot be disrupted is great.

So in that case HYPNOS loves Colossals lol.

DOnt they count as 'non character heavies' for the purpose of tier lists ?

Otherwise they wouldnt be allowed in any of them...

Also - double hyperion plays really hard with Vyros, i just had a game with it and 80% tough ratio aside they did really well - the auto fire cans on the feat turn are pretty special since they chain and are sequential shots.

Really nice - i will be taking this somewhere big and cathcing people out with it!

They count as non-character warjacks, but they are not heavies. Most theme forces don't specify heavy/light warjacks, so they should be good (though potentially not eligible for tier qualification or benefits, like V2's T4).

This is only 34 points if my math is correct?

I know youre no huge fan of the Artificer, but double Hyperions give him something to hide behind, hes able to give them 21 ARM (23 on one with IR) plus other general support. Sort of like a poor-mans-Disco. Or is Sylys mandatory?

So Ryssl is out, MS? I guess her having to paint line of sight to something does make her a bit more vulnerable than Mr. Night's Whisper.

I kind of want to try to run my Rhulic list against that at some point. I think drillers could put some pretty big dents in it.

The first list was a prototype, I'm actually revolving through the various 2-3 point options. Lanyssa has been fun, Sylys really just ukpept IR for free in most games (good, but not great). A version of Eiryss may come in next.

Bad Matchup - All of Menoth. God those guys are OP. My roommate walked through a eHaley list the other day that had storm smiths, stormwall, and two storm striders. It was over by turn 3. Granted he had the Avatar and Harby, but still. Just OP.

Harby likes getting shot by POW 18's right? Also Menoth jacks seem to love fighting high POW magical ragned attacks, but don't worry, Vyros' Hyperions are only SPD 7 can weaponlock the avatar's sword from 9" away, so he's basically got it.
