The Planets and Moons Aligned... for Dice?

So I was playing a pick- up game at the LGS Thursday, minding my own business, rolling dice for my McThralls. But, in the middle of a damage roll, I see something extremely peculiar, it looks to be a cocked dice, so I go to pick it up, but I pause.

There's something different about it... something off, and I take a closer look, this is what I see:


It felt so special that I felt the need to take a photo of the moment. Good thing I did, because it fell over seconds later.

It must've been a sign. The Behemoth poured Bombard shells into Mortenebra's face, and she lived with 3hp, which gave me chance to win the match. Coincidence? Probably, but where's the fun in that?

No, just standard Chessex :P I use em cuz of the color, played Nurgle/Deathguard in Warhammer, colors worked well with Cryx too.

That happened to me once too. I think it's the GW grass mats they make and the size of the dice. I still claim to this day that I broke physics with that roll though

That is so crazy. Our Trollbloods player and I use those same dice, and he had the exact same thing happen to him a few weeks ago. Methinks Chessex uses voodoo in their dice.

My best roll was in another game, a White Wolf Roleplaying Game.

It uses D10's and what happens is that you calculate your total and then minus difficulty of the task, usually ending with around 4-7 dice for stuff which is easy and your good at.

You roll a D10 and 8-10 is a success. Rolling a 10 means you roll another dice. Dice can continue exploding like that with more 10s.

So i roll a 7 dice pool. 6 successes, all 10's.

roll them again, 5 more successes, 3 of them 10s.

Roll them bones, 2 more successes.

So on 7 dice i end up with 13 successes. Thing of beauty. Had a pic of it on my old phone too.

I have seen a die land on edge before, but have never been the one to roll it. I have also managed to have the dice explode 5 times in a row in a game of Dystopian wars, netting 11 successes on 4 dice. I've also been witness to someone rolling triple ones in 4 out of five rolls in a warmachine game. That was so epic that I couldn't tell if he was unlucky or just lucky in a different way by the end.

I had that happen then left it like that for the rest of the game. For all the other games played after we played the die as an obstruction and/or control point. When it was the control point you got +1 to your die rolls, lol.

And yes, for failure, I have had a game where I didn't roll above 7. The entire game, no matter how many dice I rolled, the best roll was seven. Got freaking triple 1's 3 times in a row.....

Blasphemy!!! Every army and subarmy(if using a different paint scheme for a different part of your army using different caster/units, must have a separate set of dice only for them!!!!

I haven't pulled anything that awesome off yet. The best roll I have yet had was quad sixes for damage on a Manifest-destined Angelious AP charge attack. That Angelious single-handedly killed Megalith that activation (!).

Ah, exploding roll mechanics. I play ACTA:Bab5 - beam-type weapons do that; I've cut battlecruisers in half with a single cascading damage roll before.

Never doing that again since I got my DakkaDakka dice. They roll too well no matter what I'm using them for.
