    Default So...Kreoss3 Lists anyone??

    How do guys!

Well, it's been a fairly emotional weekend of refreshing, searching, wowing and, sadly, lots of dooming....BUT at the end of the day we do now know a LOT of info about what we've got coming up!

Anyway, I've been trying to create a Kreoss3 list based on his Tier, yet seem to be struggling. This is what I have so far:

    - Kreoss3 (+5)
    ^ Fire of Salvation (8)
    ^ 2 x Sanctifier (16)
    - 2 x Min. Choir (4)
    - 2 x Min. Vengers (14)
    - Gravus (5)
    - 2 x Vassals of Menoth (4)

This leaves me 4 points...bit of a random points slot to fill other than maxing out one of the Venger units. Then I considered getting a Vessel of Judgement in there. Doors miracle could come in handy with Vengers. This then leaves me 3 points :-/

Basically, I seem to be having trouble getting the best out of his Tier at the moment. Sanctifiers seem like a great option at -1 point, yet they don't really have any souls to power them.

So, here's what I've come up with after some playing around:

    - Kreoss3 (+5)
    ^ Fire of Salvation (8)
    ^ Sanctifier (8)
^ Guardian (8) *utilises the advance from the choir*
    - Min. Choir (2)
    - 2 x Min. Vengers (14)
    - Gravus (5)
    - 2 x Vassals of Menoth (4)
    - 2 x Exemplar Seneschal (6)

50 points bang on! Means that I don't need to currently (Vengers aren't maxed out box sets yet are they??) buy extra Venger blisters, I get an Arc Node for Kreoss to sling crevasse and Force Hammer about, the choir helps the Guardian move up. I added in the Seneschals to to escort the Sanctifier...should be a nice trio!

So, what you think?? What Tier and non-tier lists have you guys been coming up with??

Roll on the Kreoss3 release date...gonna be an expensive day!!

Maybe consider 7 point Castigators? Could make good use of warpath and should be good for clearing lanes, both through blasting and throwing stuff away.

This is what I came up with:

    K3: +5
    Templar 8
    Reckoner 8
    Revenger 6
    Repenter 4
    Hierophant 2

    Full Choir 3
    Full Vengers 11
    Full TFG 6
    Rhupert 2
    Reclaimer 2
    Vassal 2
    Wracks 1

The idea being that Holy Ward is good on the TFG, decent on the Reckoner, Revenger, and K3 himself, while Ignite is good on anyone. Death Sentence really isn't used too much here, but the S&P effect on the Vengers is taken advantage of. Warpath combines with the two heavies and the Repenter, and even the revenger so that it can strike and then disengage to arc. Full suite of focus enablers.

The other list doesn't use the Vengers, but relies slightly more on Death Sentence:

    K3 +5
    Templar 8
    Reckoner 8
    Guardian 9
    Hierophant 2

    10 Idrians + UA 13
    10 TFG 6
    Min choir 2
    Reclaimer 2
    Rhupert 2
    Vassal 2
    Wracks 1

This list has more good targets for Holy Ward, and the feat turn will probably be used to shift it from the Idrians (who get it T1) to the TFG. Idrians should be good at getting Warpath moves for the three jacks. Guardian is in to give an arc node, and one less jack to feed since focus will be tight. Rhupert helps out both units; Idrians most likely at first, then TFG. Death Sentence + Prey + Assault = dead unit/jack. They almost feel like Bloodtrackers at this point!

I'm definitely interested in running his tier list. So something along the lines of:

    Kr3oss +5
    FoS -8
    Revenger -5
    Max Vengers - 11
    Min Errants +UA -7
    Min Choir - 2
    Gravus - 5
    Errant Officer -2
    35pts

I'm kinda torn on what to do for anti-infantry, the Errants are going to be primarily put to use in that regard out of necessity. Run them on the flanks with the officer and add crossbows/tarpit up their ranged units. The rest of the force (Vengers, Battlegroup, Gravus) being a full center-line group. Having a mobile "can't knock me down" with the Vengers and Kreoss seems like it would be greatly helpful, and Gravus and Kreoss can double dip on venger deaths for healing/soul tokens. Vengers receive Holy Ward.

I'm really liking Interdictor Kreoss's Tier list since it's things you actually want to have with him (FoS, Vengers, and Choir) Unlike many of our tier lists that just make very little sense for the playstyle of the caster (I'm looking at you Amon!)

Alzer's list is much closer to what I plan to trial run. I will probably try to fit KE and the Seneschal in there instead of the Errants, but we'll see how it goes.
    Menoth: 215 pts.
    Legion: 185 pts.
    Mercs: 16 pts.
    Minions: 65 pts.
Models I've actually painted myself: 7

I don't normally bother with Theme forces. Here's my attempt:

    Intercessor Kreoss (5*)
    - Fire of Salvation (+8)
    - Guardian (+8)
    Choir of Menoth (min +2)
    Exemplar Errants (full +8)
    - Officer & Standard (+2)
    Exemplar Vengers (full +11)
    Exemplar Vengers (full +11)
    Vassal Mechanik (+1)
    Vassal of Menoth (+2)
    Vassal of Menoth (+2)

Admittedly, this will require me to buy an entire other unit of Vengers, but whatever. This is a damn scary list. And, provided the Divine Inspiration rule works on Impact attacks like I hope it does, it's pretty good against both infantry and Warjacks. It's also got a fair amount of spell immunity thanks to Holy Ward and the Errants' standard. Doesn't have quite the magical support I'm used to (Hierophant and Wracks are standard in most of my lists) but I think it works. Errant Crossbows and Death Sentance are a nice combo too. And the Mechanik is there because I had to fill a point.

Yowza. I need to proxy this thing yesterday.

That's a very nice list! The only thing I would consider is maybe dropping one unit of Vengers down to a Min., drop the Mechanik and slot in Gravus. You lose one Venger overall, but gain much more utility and potentially more attacks. Also don't need to buy a whole second unit

Oh, and this wasn't purely about his theme force....be interesting what other lists are coming up sice Colossals!

That would give me an excuse to use my custom Gravus model... and the Mechanik wasn't really integral in any case. And Gravus is awesome.

    Yup, that works.

Oooo custom Gravus? Alzer wants to see!

I'm going to need to do a custom-job on Gravus when I get him, I refuse to field anything with such a brutally awful hat.

After reviewing my list it's very tempting to drop the Errants for something with a bit more flexibility. Mayhaps standard KEs and a Repenter, or a Vanquisher (assuming I'd leave the Seneschal at home too) mmm Vanquisher.

A 35 point Tier 4 Theme list (if I've done everything right...)

    Intercessor Kreoss (5*)
    - Fire of Salvation (+8)
    - Guardian (+8)
    Choir of Meonth (min +2)
    Exemplar Vengers (max +11)
    Exemplar Errant Seneschal (+2)
    High Exemplar Gravus (+5)
    Vassal of Menoth (+2)
    Vassal of Menoth (+2)

Fast, hitty, hurty. Holy Ward goes on the Vengers (until they charge, that is), Warpath goes on 3oss. Vassals should help keep the 'jacks alive, and Gravus/the Seneschal is there to help kill jammers and enemy Solos and characters. Thinking of dropping Gravus and the Seneschal for another MIN unit of Vengers, but I'm not sure yet. Hell, drop all the Solos and I can afford a FULL unit *evil grin*. Cycling Ignite onto two units of Vengers a turn is mean.

This one will be fun to proxy.

I'm seeing a lot of double vassal for not much benefit.

Apperantly the Guardian loves Kreoss3 or the other way around....! I see him in alot of peoples lists on here. I imagine it is for placing and cycling upkeeps as well as adding in another heavy?

In my opinion, Kreoss3 loves the Guardian for a couple reasons that are related to his tier. The first is that in his tier he gets a reduced point cost, and it's a perfectly good 'jack at 8 points. Second is that he wants an arc node, and at 8 points vs 6 points, you might as well take the heavier and more durable hitter. Third, the advanced move from the tier really mitigates the slower speed of the Guardian, and warpath with arc nodes really give it some great mobility.

Then there are his spells and feat. He wants to be able to move his upkeeps around onto his army when he feats, and he can't be every where at once. He has two very useful offensive spells too, in force hammer and Crevasse, and being able to project their threat over a wider area of the board is very useful. Slams from unexpected angles have this annoying tendency to win games.

And Death Sentence with Crit Pitch means you have a pretty decent chance of tossing something with only one focus investment.

Bwuh? What about keeping your arc node alive for spell slinging? What about preserving the one or two heavies you've got? What about getting even more attacks on the table, freeing up Kreoss' focus for camping (which he'll sorely need) or spells (which he desperately wants to cast)? If I run two or more Heavies, I'm taking a Vassal each. Survivability, if nothing else. I love my Vassals.
