Maybe they should have given the option to trade in the chains for Whelps

But seriously, while some people are blowing their tops over the price, I would pay an additional 15 bucks for some new Whelp models included and exclusive to Mk.

Edit: But then I suppose people who already have multiple sets would complain about that. Can't please everyone!

It makes more sense for people who already own the FA3 of whelps to use what they have then to buy more the you could really need feasibly. If people wanted whelps with this thing then buy whelps with it. They are in a blister somewhere on your game stores wall.

I have already have Whelps as well, bought them in my first bundle of TB stuff, but not putting any in a box containing a miniature that will most likely drop at least one on turn two... Yes, I think that is weak.

Ofc its not going to be "free", nothing is free in this world. But I could bet on that including three whelps and the card would not eat up much of the profit, and give more back in customer satisfaction - because most people I know of loathe the "batteries not included" crap. Imho ofc.

Yeah, see my late added edit.

Your last two sentences sound kinda patronizing. I know what I can get on my game store wall, thanks.

It was really about some cool new unique Whelp sculpts instead of duplicates. Since I only own one set, and will most likely want more when I getthe MtK.

Edit: my previous post wasn't a criticism.

I'm not trying to patronize anyone, but people have all these unrealistic expectations about the MK and this is just one more in the list along with all the doom. So my annoyance is showing through a little now. This is the Mountain King, not MK + whelps. No where did PP ever say he was coming with them, other then the art. So I don't see how people can expect that. We weren't mislead and it wasn't even alluded to. As to the saying including something extra, as referenced above would improve customer satisfaction, sure it would do that but it would also increase cost. If players don't feel MK is worth it, then they won't buy it. But expecting PP to again, give you something free is not a smart business decision. What they did for customer Satisfaction here that speaks more towards the companies dedication to it's players then just handing out whelps with the MK(which if people went to LnL they left with quite a few dollars of free crap), is releasing the flagship Gargantuan along with the Colossals release so the player base can see exactly what they are up against and not have to wait for months and months to catch up with what's been released.

You know what annoys me? I've been mostly positive in all my posts about the MtK. I'm pretty pumped about him. But I don't see you acknowledging any of those posts.

Then I half-heartedly post about a "wouldn't it boo cool if" statement in response to someone else's negative ship and you nail me? I'm sorry, it's not MtK and Whelps? My bad, I don't know where I made that connection....

I even specifically stated that it wasn't a criticism. And I never said I expected anything.

What really bugs me is that some people view you as a community leader, that's saying alot. I love all the work you do with the scrum. But this is the second time you've patronized me over some trivial imagined slight against PP and Trollbloods. It makes feel crappy. Is that what you want to do?

I'm not attacking you by any means so I apologize if it seems like it. Your statements have overall been positive and even if you don't like something about it you are entitled to your opinion. As am I. Also my comments were mostly leaning towards Jato, but you were in on the conversation, so please don't take any of this personally. It's merely the attitude that I am annoyed with.

I will however acknowledge that my fanboyism has been running high lately, because I lived, breathed and ate Warmachine and Hordes for 3 days with hundreds of other people so I am perhaps less tolerant of negative opinions then I normally am. Again, I was by no means calling you out specifically, you just happened to be commenting on what I was talking about, which was posted by Jato before. I didn't understand his mentality and it annoyed me a little so it came out in sarcasm.

Hey Goris, how heavy are the Mk parts? do you think it's possible to magnetize the pieces sans the back?

I'm running out of room in my case fast, so just wondering...

He's light. Will be VERY easy to magnetize. You will however see gaps no matter how clean your model is so I wouldn't recommend it. Also, the torso is spin molded resin so I don't know what drilling into it will do to the resin.

First I just want to say: Thank you for the unboxing video Goris! Its stuff like that which really enhances this community.

Regarding the Whelps, I find it weak that PP did not make some new stand alone whelps to go with the MtK while they were at it - there are several covering it that are full sized. I think even people having three (identical) sets of whelps already could appreciate that. And the extra cost in the big picture would probably be very small given they could have been made at the same time as the other parts. I think Whelps are just as integrated in the MtK as Pods with the Stormwall, and that when buying a model in this price range you should be able to play with all its abilities "out of the box". Thats my mentality, but then I know Im a tough customer.

Now, "lame" and "shame on you PP" was over the top, it was unnecessary. Sorry for the derailment, I will not continue it.

I appreciate your candor and while I can see your point, I still disagree, and the main disagreement here was with the original tone it was set it. I'm not trying to attack anyone here and I apologized to Celedor already for any offense. There's great hobby potential in this model so one could modify or add whelps if they wanted, I just think they made the right decision in not including any.

As I lay in bed, drifting to sleep, thinking of Trollbloods (lol, really though), these things pop into my head all the time. I thought how neat would it be to see sculpts for a Mulg-whelp with a wee mountain on his back, a Rok-whelp with a snowy lil' beard and mini keg, and maybe one with a zippo or matches and a lil' cherry bomb, a Bomber-whelp. So, I'm planning some mod work on my next blister of whelps, which I shall surely need a second of with the MtK.

I don't lament the fact that they aren't part of the MtK package and I feel like it's cool to imagine "what if they were" at the same time.

And thanks for making your intentions clear Goris, glad to hear you didn't mean any offense.

I'll say this, I've already started modifying my kind and adding bits, modified whelps are part of that conversion. Stay tuned...
