Default Thanx for Lock 'N' Load 2012

To all my Privateer friends - thank you for Lock 'N' Load this year. I thought last year was awesome; this year has surpassed it. It has become THE convention I look forward to on a yearly basis. The fans are great, the games were fun & it's right in my backyard. It's amazing all the people who come from afar just to see new stuff & throwdown with strangers who come away friends. PP has one of the best community of fans in the gaming industry.

I am already looking forward to running a IKRPG session over the weekend next year.

Totally agree! L&L was awesome! It was a very great experience for a person who is relatively new to Warmahords. Already looking forward to 2013.

Thanks to all the folks that put this on. I'm pretty sure there were a LOT of people packing Mountain Kings over their weekends, on top of all the staff it takes to plan, execute, run, and keep this kind of thing on track.

I have pretty much zero complaints (outside of my ability to make mistakes in games and inability to roll dice well, but that's on me and not PP). I look forward to this next year.

Agreed. It was a great time, with lots of nice surprises.

My biggest suggestion would possibly be an addition to the badges, perhaps adding a spot where a person's forum name could be displayed on it.

Lock 'n Load was enjoyable as all hell, even while experiencing it exclusively through the internets. Definitely showing up to the real thing next year.

So let's say a crazy Dane somehow had many for a ticket next year (how much is it to attend?), how hard is it to get a hotel room nearby or something and what should I expect to pay?

    Best. Weekend. EVAR!!
Thank you so much Privateer for putting on L&L!! We had SUCH an amazing time and are already planning again for next year I love the camaraderie we all seem to share whether we are local or international, and most games even losing it's still a fun game.

I'd like to add my thanks as well. I have only been playing for three months and seeing how much PP puts into making an enjoyable experience plus the great fan base I will make this a yearly tradition! Can't wait to return to rainy Seattle in 2013!

Yes thank you PP for arranging such a great weekend. The various seminars were great. It is also cool being able to talk to the painters and sculptors and get tips on painting and conversions. Thanks Meg, Matt and Sean. I will try to practice what you have taught.

Tournaments were real fun, especially the adrenaline filled Speedmachine. A big thank you to all my opponents for the great games.

Iron Arena is awesome as well. I didn't play as many games in it as I have at Gencon because of the many tournaments but still got in a bunch against really nice people.

A special thank you for the awesome tier 4 drawing price in Blood, Sweat and Tiers, an entire Vlad3 tier force. That is totally amazing and I promise to have it painted up and ready for Gencon.

I had a great time too! I got to meet some great people, and it was honestly a lot of fun helping keep the gears turning in the Iron Arena as well (I was the guy in the bowler hat behind the desk for the late shift each night). I spent a lot of the weekend holed up in my room painting a Stormwall, but even that was enjoyable, and it netted me a mention in the NQ live blog coverage!

I would like to also give a HUGE thanks to PP and everyone that helped out there. This was definitely the best con I have ever been to. Talking & gaming with PP staffers as well as the community just reinforced how cool everyone is. I definitely want to make it back next year.

A special shout out to all my opponents in Hardcore and Iron Arena...thanks for the games and it was a blast! (I was the Khador guy with the Gun Carriage walker)

I had a great time. I especially appreciated getting to chat with Matt and Ron about some tips to improve my painting for next year. No GW bits next time, I promise

Agreed, it was a blast. Thanks for all the PP Staff for all their hard work and for an amazing convention experience! Hopefully I can make it back for next year when you all take over two floors of the Red Lion.

Echoing everyone else's sentiments. I had a great time playing games - so much so that I abandoned the few seminars I had registered for. And while I still wish I had attended the cosmology one, I just couldn't tear myself away from the excitement of the Iron Arena. I have to admit, since moving away from home last year I haven't established any new Warmahordes friends in my new town (this will change immediately), so being at LNL 2012 has reinvigorated me and given me renewed passion for the game. Something about being around so many others who are passionate, regular players has inspired me. Since I returned home 2 days ago, I've painted half of a full unit and primed the new models I picked up. I'm going to get my *** in gear painting so I can take a good looking army for next year (no more of this half-diecast-half-primed crap). Tomorrow night I plan to hit up either Tower Games in Buford, GA or Giga-bites Cafe in Marietta, GA for some pickup games (for those of you in the Metro Atlanta area, join me!).

It was also enjoyable to hang out with the PP staff and see how down to earth they all were. Great people, great company, great community and great games.

Agreed to all of the above - it was fantastically fun. The seminars in room 2 with Seacat were AMAZING - and I really loved meeting everyone. My wife and I are planning on showing up next year.
