thinking of trying connie soon: question on the gallant model upgrade kit

ok so i want to start working towards a constance list but wanted to know if the 'upgrade kit' for gallant would fit onto the old ironclad metal model. i have an ironclad with no card i dont plan on using any time soon so i was just thinking he was a prime candidate to mod into a gallant. save myself from having to buy the plastic kit JUST yet... use that money to possibly buy some precursors before too late into the summer.

I don't see why not, although the Gallant fist might look a little large on the old Ironclad wrist. The neck guard would be the only piece with a complex fitting requirement that might not work right on the metal kit, but it's malleable enough that you should be able to bend it. Here's a post by a guy who's done it.

cool, thanks a bunch sleet. i can see it working pretty well now. i really am not too afraid of minor modding (i'm definitely not ready for heavy mods yet as it's something i've hardly even dabbled in during my gaming days...) and the top piece would be easy to putty or glue a bit along with bend as needed to make it fit. looks like my biggest challenge is the swordhand, but as one person stated, i could easily cut the sword and hammer instead and fit things into place that way... whatever works. i think i'll pick up the kit at some point along with connie and give it a whirl. there's a league at my lgs starting today and i'm trying to decide between cygnar and highborn, and connie works for both, so she's definitely on my list of casters to get and run for it no matter what i choose. and the gallant's just a pretty nice jack for the points...
