Default Besides Uhlans, best cav for Vlad3?

i didn't get to L&L in time to get vlad before he sold out, but i am still planning on getting him.

that being said, Uhlans are a bit out of my price range at the moment (side question, better to run them min, or max?).

who would be our second best cav to run with him? Until the greylords come out, it will have to be a solo, but which one benefits the most?

With his theme force you could take two Drakhuns, which would be awesome by itself. I'd guess Fenris would gain more benefit from the feat since he has two initial attacks + berserk, so if you weren't close enough to some infantry you could sidestep up to 4" closer and then keep berserking. Plus with Dash he'd be Spd 9 and immune to free strikes so he could reach really far.

if it has a horse take it. We have 3 options if you take only one take our mow he gets the most out of all vlad can do and fenris is warded. Markov is good on his own also at killing support hugging jacks with warhead and he cadres ulans kind of. Get markov he is the best. Mow is meh for the fact he is a big slow guy markov is faster and dosent dismount but you also cant repair him...markov is better looked at the book.

if you don't take uhlans, don't you lose a lot of what makes markov good though?

he only makes them rally imidiately and grants fearless. I used him in 15pt battlebox games because he is only 4pts. But 4 points of doom for sure. Hes just a super solo really and anything on him makes him that much better.

So, I have zero experience with them (so this might be a terrible idea) but what about the Steelhead cav (with valachev? Though he'd always be bringing up the rear). They get an inordinate amount of attacks, and being able to retreat and assault with backswing under HoF again through the feat seems pretty good. Anyone ever used them? Thoughts?

Ranking Officers can only attach to small or medium-base units, unfortunately. Still a good unit, but won't be affected by any Faction-only buffs.

i wonder if, given that according to the video everyone is getting light cav, they will make mounted ranking officers a book or two later?

i doubt it'd be in the same book...

Would be interesting to get a confirmation that it's Friendly Faction(Warjacks + Cavalry) over Friendly Faction(Warjacks) + Cavalry Because I would be quite willing to read Friendly Faction warjacks and Cavalry as the second if it's not specific.

if the release of the demolisher is any indicator mostlikely not. They bring out harks A-Game but are the last to be released so if they do ranking officers for calvary same book it will take forever for them to comeout we never get all our toys at once.
