    Default ashlynn bunker 35 points - seriously looks good to me - anyone try this?

    Daydreaming about lists the other day and I came up with these. Unlike many of my dreams this one seems REALLY viable...... I havent stumbled across this combo before and was wondering if anyone ran it and what people thought. I have wanted an excuse to buy a mariner for a while now and this might be it.....

    Working with the understanding that ashlynn needs to get uncomfortably close to see her potential fufilled, the idea is to make ashlynn as well defended as possible without giving up output potential. With her high def boosted by gormans cloud, rockys guard dog in CC and either a vanguard or bokur to take a lucky shot for her (remembering also her 12" defensive shot) makes her pretty darn hard to hit - add to that a leapfrogging (upkeep move recast each turn) of her quick spell between her and the forgeguard (which adds another +2 defence....) and she is moving up the table with relative comfort at somewhere between 19 and 21 def for the majority of the game....
    Keep the marshalled mariner in b2b and she wont be falling over either.

    Two great ranged shots from the mariner and rocky aside from the gunmages, brilliant cc potential from those two jacks and her means that units that get too close will be shredded and single jacks shouldnt be too hard to deal with either. Full forgeguard and roulette means that the cluster of heavy around her isnt the only incredibly serious threat.

    The only questions i see are
    1) vanguard vs bokur and the piper to make those fg tough/pathfinder etc. (I think the piper may well be worth it)
    2) marshall the mariner for that super long snipe shot OR marshall the vanguard to increase its shooting threat potential while still maintaining its role of protector on ashlynn and to be able to focus load that second heavy?

    Only clear downsides - my usual gunmage marshalled roulette loving mule would have to cheer from the sidelines instead. I think the Mule is the reason I never really considered this before.
