Thinking more at 25 - advice?

Ok, I have this tournament coming up... I am trying to think of good lists and wacky lists that pair well together. I am bad in that I don't practice with one list but many. I am trying break 25 points in a bad way. I will keep posting here until I think I have hit the nail on the head. tell me what you think. It is assassination scoring so that should be interesting.

I think we have a winner with this one. It can handle literally everything and everyone has a killing role. Even the WGI with bears strength and Battle lust can scrap a jack or put the hurt on them anyway. Hmmm

That should make your khador match ups fun. I am a big fan of pIrusk, but I use IFP with him and yours are reinforcements, so I would say one of those eVlad lists. I love using double elminators with pIrusk so it must be a barrel of fun with eVlad. I only have p versions of casters so far, so no experience with the epics.

You have eight list ideas. Instead of coming up with as many viables as you can, decide what you want each list to do. I generally try to make a list to deal with Warmachine and a list for Hordes; one will need to kill infantry and the other will need to kill heavies.

For example, here are the lists I made for my tournament this Saturday (before I realized I had to work...):

My p.Butcher list is there to shock and awe with feat turn / Fury cast. My e.Irusk list, though tough to negotiate in a timed format, offers enough firepower to weaken an infantry-based army before I send the Kayazy in for a hopeful caster kill.

Your choice in models are definitely going to matter here, but more important is knowing how to handle threats with the models you've got on the table. You could be facing another Khador player who's being cute with p.Vlad and 6 Berserkers under the Tier, and it's all about knowing how to handle it.

You are 100% correct, my issue is that I do build 100 lists. My problem is I play variations of these lists at 35 all the time and I know what they can do. I just like building and playing. At 35 and 50 my lists are fairly stable but I am finding it hard to get what I need to get into a list. Against warmachine i usually go my old witch or eVlad and hordes pIrusk

I'm much the same way, I'd have dozens upon dozens of lists laying around if not for iBodger.

You sound like you've got it narrowed down to a few casters, anyways, so why not just throw something together that looks promising and see where it takes you in the tournament? I often find myself amazed at how well "Aw hell, let's see how this does" lists end up doing.
