Hey everyone,
As stated above, this is my third shot at painting a Mauler. I really enjoy painting this fella each and every time! Tips, suggestions, comments and critiques always very much appreciated.
Thanks for looking!

REALLY good paint you got on there, although I'm bit iffy and curious about the arm bands.

Nice! I've enjoyed everyone of your Maulers. Thanks again for sharing the ins and outs of airbrushing with me. Maybe now when I finish a mini I'll actually post a pic or two.
Thanks! I'm really not on board with the arm bands, either. This was painted for a friend at my LGS, and he actually got it second hand from someone else and it was already assembled. The back (which isn't pictured) also has a really wonky backbone sculpted in, too. My best guess is that the original owner was trying to work around the big gaps around the Mauler's arms and between the shoulders. Of course, filling those gaps takes like 2 seconds ... sculpting weird arm bands probably took a lot longer. Oh well!
Thanks! Glad I could help. Your Destroyer is lookin sweet -- can't wait to see a picture up here! You'll be getting a hundred questions asking for your purple recipe, though. That's a really neat shade you've got!Originally Posted by skattumprime

Very nice looking mauler even with the third party padded armbands. The pale-ish blue and orangey quills work quite well to pull together an impressive work.
oooOOOOOOooooo... a neat shade of purple? yeah i would definately like to pre-ask about that... post up skattumprime
and too unjack the thread, hahaha, really nice work on that mauler... more airbrush goodness - all i am missing is compressor/air source then the practice can begin...
on a side note have you considered adding a glossy or satinlike finish to the tounge and such areas?
