Bane centered army

I'm Looking at building a Bane thrall/knight themed Cryx list with mainly foot slogging troops. My question is ( as im pretty new to playing the game ) which caster and or other units would help out the banes or the banes help out?

I believe you would be looking at almost all of them save Morty!

Cryx infantry is great, some work slightly better with certain casters than others, but most of the usuals Banes/McThralls/Satyxis work quite well with most/all of them, basically pick the units you like then read up on the casters you also like the look off and see what works together within the things you like the look of most of all, then build from there.

Either eAsphyxious or eGoreshade (especially his theme force) do exceptionally well with them, but they are very good with almost anyone. As for support, almost always add Bane Lord Tartarus, the rest is gravy. Both of those casters will also like the Withershadow Combine.

For Goreshade, take 2 full unit of thralls with UA (get one free for theme) and a full unit of Knights, which you can give Stealth to alleviate their main weakness. Add WSC and some Scrap Thralls for the feat, then fill out the rest.

With eGaspy, take a full unit of Knights, take full or min Thralls depending on points, add Bile Thralls, WSC, maybe Darragh, fill out the rest.

Or really, play them with anyone and smash face. As long as they have BLT, they need little support.

Yeah, I'd suggest eGoreshade.

I was just looking into him, and wondering if its worth doing an army.

His Elite Cadre, and his tier can give a second UA, makes it worth running a bunch of them, and can validate your purchase of 30+ Banes

Any caster, just include Yet and Wrathe and you are all set.

If you do end up going eGoreshade, keep in mind that your army will grow with each kill, so you should take that in to mind when thinking about how many banes you would like to have available. For a bit of flexibility I wouldn't go beyond a full unit of banethralls and a fully unit of baneknights. You would probably find yourself getting a bit bored with more than that many banes. But you would need to have extra's handy beyond the full bane thralls in case they go beyond that. Even if you only spend on a blister of two online from somewhere it's probably a good idea.

Wrathe and Tartarus + Banes = prophet. Maybe Gorman too for giggles if you what a cloud to block caster till he's close enough to black oil say an angel then more prophet. lol With banes I'm finding biles are really important since they lack number of attacks vs squads of guys.
