    Default Battlebox or custom 15 points?

    Ok so i think the title explains where my question is going.

    I am interested in starting legion BUT should i get the battlebox or slowly buy a custom 15 point list?

    I like the battlebox but could my $60 (round up with tax) be better spend going custom?

    The battlebox plus a shepherd is a ready to go 15 point army.

    Other than that, it depends on your Magnetizing skills, what Caster you prefer. and what point level you want to play.

    Link if you need it. I think the Warspears are needed for Thagrosh and Ryhas's Tier lists.

    i always recommend the battle box becuase its a great place to learn about legion tricks and lylyth1 is a great simple beginner warlock. if you plan on facing other battle boxes ours is one of the few that can hadel the cryx battle box pretty well. if you are not keen on the battle box a 15pt list with thagrosh 1 or Absylonia is fun to start with.
    here are a few other options for starting legion at 15 pts that i have tried in other journeymen leauges i like
    Thagrosh 1
    * scythean
    * shredder
    legionairs full
    max spawning vessel.
    its a great attrition list with lots of recycling the dead. i love to respawn my heavy and another lesser in the same turn and watch my army nearly refresh.

    The other list i like is absylonia. also another good counter for the cryx battle box becuase you can usually weather her feat turn and heal or transfer the assassination and heal.

    absylonia
    angelius
    Nephilim solider
    Raek
    shredder

    with out fury management and up keeping your spells for free you need to burn alot of fury. the best way to do this is spam tenacity on your entire army.

    Okay I personally have tried the battle box n have failed 0-2,
    When I did some research I found i liked Rhyas & use:
    Rhyas +6
    Angelous
    Hellion
    2x Raek
    & have had a 5-0 success rate.. however Rhyas doesn't ramp up in higher points matches.
    I've proxied a:
    pThagrosh
    Carnevian
    Angelous
    W a 2-0 win.
    I'd suggest borrowing the legion book n finding a warlock that fits Ur play style.
    & this forum has more than enough threads on diff point lists to choose from.

    I think I've only ever lost against trollbloods that got a lucky crit slam using our battlebox.

    Actually, that's 14 points. I think you mean the Battlebox + a Forsaken.
