Does colossal have any units other than level3 caster and a colossal warjack?
Because if not thats only 2 items per faction.
With vlad3 we could really use some new cavalry units, assault kommandos sure could use another attatchment, etc.

Just two items per faction. Caster and Colossal.
eAlexia is also in the book, so mercs have 3, but that's mostly just to catch up. Kind of odd Black Dragons aren't there though.
Then don't buy it.

Yeah, this time around you are paying for the fluff. I haven't looked over the book, myself, but that fluff better be frickin' amazing. Best Seller's don't even cost 35 bucks.
………thats all? Even wrath had more than that and that was for battle engines. Kinda lame. Better have some good fluff or i may just glaze over the book after $140 for a colossal another $40 is gonna be upseting if its not wort it. I say $40 because hard cover is better but then again i got gifted the prime rules and wrath rules all together in color and spiral bound so i did not have to lug around 6 books (faction books, khador and everblight and domination and primal mkii)
Man O' War...someday soon...
Why would one ever buy WM/H books for anything else but the fluff? You get all the rules with your models, and if you want to check the rules before you buy, you just ask a friend who owns it, or even your LGS owner, if you can have a look through it.
The book has the Updated Unbound rules, which occupy quite a few pages.
Speaking as a mediocre painter at best and a player who rarely even considers theme lists and feels reinforcements for 50-point lists are already pushing it: the painting guides, theme forces and, in this case, Unbound rules. On a more serious note, I agree completely.
I got my copy on preorder, btw.
I'm personally glad its a small release. Even though I play regularly I still always feel like I have far more than I can reasonably play often enough....and not to mention my piles of unpainted/unassembled models ><
Fluff wise, this may very well be my favorite.
Model release - not a lot to see quantity wise. Quality wise, PP hit the nail on the head with these guys. You'll hear a lot of complaints about colossal's for awhile, cries that they are overpowered. I've played against them and they aren't - the Khador one in fact is pretty brutal in combat.
It was announced at L&L that Khador will be getting Greylord Outriders - light cav with greylords. Khador will also be getting an Iron Fang Kovnik solo (has a two handed axe - great bear isk)
Weird double post - forums are acting a little weird today...

I think Mercs are getting 3 releases (Galleon, Rhulic Warcaster, eAlexia). Everyone else 2.
So hang on, you think that every person with the Colossals book from L&L is somehow in on a fib keeping you in the dark? I'm not sure how you think your demand for 'official confirmation of 2 releases' is coming across, but it isn't very friendly in textI'm going to assume you just have some wishful thinking going on (I did the same), but I can assure you from having the actual book in my hands that 2 releases per faction (mercs don't count
). Outside of mercs everyone got their Colossal and their "epic epic" caster and that's it.
The new cav and the Ret unit with Eryiss3 they're talking about are all slated for the next unnamed book sometime next year.

Relax man
1.I didn't demand anything. I just asked a question. I wasn't rude about it; and it isn't an unreasonable request.
2.I'm not weaving any conspiracy theories here, I don't have the book, and I don't know anyone who does. I keep hearing about new cavalry units.
It seemed logical that privateer press would have announced this information somewhere but I couldn't find it. I just figured asking would here be a good way to find out, as there are people here who follow there press releases and announcements more closely than myself.
