Experiences with Terra Firma Studios?

I ordered some nice trees from Terra Firma Studios on 4/25/2012.
Ten days later I emailed them asking if they received my order since I hadn't heard anything from them. They replied saying everything was ok and that my order should be processed the following week.
I emailed them again on may 30th asking about the order's status, and got a reply explaining something about technical problems, and that my order should be shipped the next day (next day being june 1st) and I would get the tracking number in my email.
One week later, no email, no tracking number, no reply.

Do you have any experiences with Terra Firma Studios?

one of my friends had some bad stuff with them. If worse comes to worse, just file a paypal complaint and get your money back.

As a reference for future sites to use, hirstarts sells amazing molds and pieces, and miniaturemarket.com has a huge selection of miniatures (mint condition and not out of the blister) for about 5-20% off per miniature. They also have paints, terrain supplies, and gaming supplies for relatively cheap prices (cheaper than anything else I've found). They also have reasonable delivery time.

I have basically everything but trees. I searched the interwebz and Terra Firma Studios had by far the nicest trees I could find.
That's why ordered from them. But it seems that my first time was also the last. I emailed them a week ago again asking the status of my order. No reply.

I think it's about time to get medieval on their a**es.

Have you look at Woodland Scenics trees? I use those reguraly, mostly those Ready Made Trees (on terrain) but occasionally also Woodland Classic (for dioramas).

Your work is too well known by those of us on this forum to let you go unsupported.

I just visitied their web site and they are having problems with their domain name and are not accepting orders at this time.

My package is on its way.
Andy @ Terra Firma has some health issues in his family so selling model trees is secondary at the moment.
His lack of communication was a sum of odd errors both on my part and his.

Everthing is ok, my trees are on their way, and if they're nearly as nice as they were in the pictures, I'll be ordering more.
Terra Firma Studios is ok in my book.

Let us know when you actually have something in hand. With people like this I never count on them delivering after a certain point.

How hard is it to send out a mass email about "family health issues" to all the people who have ordered with you? If it's very difficult, maybe you should be in business to begin with.

If he didn't have the issues mentioned, I'd order more right away. I'm very pleased with the products!

Sorry, it was for another terrain company, not Terra Firma. I can't remember the name though to search for it. I just remember it had a similar beginning to your story, but a much worse (and still unresolved and ongoing) end.
