How did I get into this hand basket, and why is it so hot?

Default Sensible themes that you never expect to get.

Let me come right out and say this first: I want Skorne Construct Beasts.

Skorne has been in the west for a while now tangling with Circle, we've seen that it can be done, we have a head start on the techniques from working with AGs, we have a warlock who can transfer to AGs already, we even have some pretty solid incentive to explore the idea with the Titan Plague from the Forces of Skorne book and Rasheth standing to control the beast supply. It almost requires a bigger suspension of disbelief to buy that Zaal or Hexeris doesn't have someone working on this than buying the Transfer and Leaching mechanics in the first place.

If Gargantuans has Makeda3, Mammoth, and four Construct beasts (2 heavy, 2 light) with low DEF and FUR and high ARM, box count, and P+S for a Skorne beast and special rules that forbid Beast Handlers from effecting them (and maybe some shenenegany soul collecting goodness) I would jump up and down squeeling like a little girl.

What's on your wish list of things that make thematic sense?

The above is my personal opinion, and in no way should be taken as representative of the overall Skorne community. Even when I claim otherwise.
Skorne on date ... when did Primal Mk I hit again?

Trollblood heavies with some serious armor. Come on, guys, you've got to know that sending Maulers into battle with just a loincloth and a bagged lunch won't always work! I'd really like to see a character mauler with plate armor and a two-handed hammer. He'd specialize, in the fluff, in knocking down walls and big doors. In game, he could have a very powerful crit slam with the hammer, maybe thresher. I say character because having multiples of this guy would be kinda dumb.
Play the models that make you happy. The victories will come in time.

    Current projects:
    Stormwall
    Intercessor Kreoss

I'll second the armoured Trolls thing!

I'm tired of elemental trolls, give them weapons and armour! I'd kill to see a Troll carrying two Long Gunner's rifles or a Diretroll who's taken apart a Khador Demolisher and made itself into a slamming machine! City Trollkin is always something I've wanted to see. Similar to Boomhowler's boys but I suppose now that they can be in-faction in certain lists they sort of fill that gap for me.

For Retribution, Soulless, units of Soulless, Soulless casters! I'd also squeel like a school girl if those new razorblade mage hunters are soulless. Oh yes.

I like the thought of armored trolls.

But at the moment I want to see Trollkin Heavies made out of insane Runeshapers!
A tiny head with ragefilled eyes inside a golemlike juggernaut build form runeinscirbed rocks. (ok it sounds like the circle warpwolves or that one Legion lock but it is as plausible as the giant AG-Beast-Constructs (i do like the idea) )

The great thing about these threads is that it is obvious that Privateer Press is going to have a decade or two before the run out of stuff to do.

This game is going to be nuts a few years from now when ever faction has so much stuff. (Like character collosals in 2015)

Heavy Shredder, sort of a meat version of the basher. That or a character lesser with the ability to trample and slam as if it were a heavy.

    That'll never happen.

I still want a Retribution artificer solo who commands a small group of floating arcanika drones. Something like Circle's Woldstalkers.

That, or a Darius-style Retribution warcaster in arcanika powered armor!

Or, let's be real crazy here, a Mage Hunter who does reconnasaince for the Dawnguard and hence hands out Pathfinder. I know, really off the wall and not at all justified by fluff, but I think if PP really works at it....

Medium-base, high-ARM construct troops for Cygnar. I mean, it's possible to make giant bipedal tanks that can fire two cannons, two chainguns, and a heavy electrical probe every few seconds without falling over, or a tiny robot that can psychically enhance people's brain power, but it's beyond the realm of imagination to split the difference and make a unit of cheap automatons that march forward and hold up shields and pikes to prevent enemy troops from swamping those other two things?

No. I meant what I said.

Steelheads need either a UA for the Halbies - one of the oldest units in the game without one. Failing that, a field officer, something akin to the Skron's Tyrant & standard bearer.

Skorne small-based Weapon Masters (preferably of the Paingiver persuasion). In fact, I'd settle for more Paingiver types in general.

I want an Iosan unit that hunts mages with cross bows that shoot bolts straight through walls, trees, people, etc. Oh, and those bows that shoot bolts which phase in and out of reality, yeah they would be magical, since, you know, they PHASE IN AND OUT OF REALITY.

Things I want in Cryx that I might get:
    Ranking Officer
    Warcaster Jack bond
    Engine of Destruction
More Corrosion based models. (we're the corrosion faction yet we have 1 corrosion unit)

Things I want in Cryx that I'll never get:
A non-mercenary ranged unit with a range over 8 that doesn't have to commit suicide to hit
    Shooting based warcaster
    Snipe

What about revenant crew? Both the base unit (due to the WA) and the artillery have range > 8.

To OP, I'd be interested in having a heavy base AG warbeast. It might be somewhat cool if there were three ancient warriors of legend melded into it, each one being in control of one aspect of the beast...

And for Cryx I once even did some sort of homebrew thing for undead mechanized wolves with one living packmaster controlling them. If Cryx is all for causing terror and using expendable resources... then why not?

Some sort of ARM buff outside a feat for Khador. So we can play as a heavy armour faction

Although the third Vlad and Harkevich have certainly helped bring more of our high ARM models into line with the pansy high DEF infantry we have...

    Cheers,

Given the option I'd rather have a Construct buffer (I like constructs ); getting the AGs/Immortals up to P+S 15 on demand would solve a lot of their issues.

The above is my personal opinion, and in no way should be taken as representative of the overall Skorne community. Even when I claim otherwise.

The Immortals could definitely use something, and I'm sure the AGs wouldn't mind. But if P+S 12+ Weaponmaster Paingivers appeared, I'm sure you wouldn't say no...

In Skorne they'd probably only get WM against living beasts. :P

I suspect they'd be praetorans rather than paingivers, and we do kinda have single wound Weapon Masters in the form of Pain Driven Slaughterhousers. But no, I wouldn't say no to WM pain givers.

If Cygnar high command stapled an arc node to a Hunter, Charger, or Avenger I'd be stunned at how much sense that made. Heck, even a Grenadier or Minuteman would make total sense.

If trenchers, rather than bringing their own lack luster field artillery, stole the gun arms off Defenders, Grenadiers and Hunters it would be completely in keeping with the anything-in-a-pinch mentality of the poor bloody infantry.

If Long Gunners received any support what-so-****ing-ever I would fall over in shock. There are more men and women in service as long gunners than there are in any other branch of Cygnar service, and yet they haven't developed anything beyond flag technology to support themselves.

A Greylord/Old Witch themed model which makes crit effects happen on a far more likely chance. It would bring back in vogue pretty much everything in Khador which is on the verge of being good.

    Such as:

    Juggernaut
    Field Gun
    Bombadiers
    Destroyers
    (Conquest)

Also Moar Jack support please! outside of Caster.

Also, a pair of Solos, one menite and one Morrowan who both give good bonuses but cant both be in the same list.

    EDIT:

Also, an Assault Kommando UA that gives Prey! Its all that they need to be an awesome unit.

Skorne is never going to get a real beast warlock so long as we have Beast Handlers. (Unless he's designed to work with the construct beasts that can't be affected by the PGs...).

I'd rather have a Venator warlock with some good buffs for our ranged game, but I've been asking for that since Primal Mk I so I'm not gonna hold my breath at this point.
