I have no problems with circle vs legion for the 2 player bb. I think that is actually an OK combination, although kaya's occultation will be less useful than normal. However...did they really have to pick the least effective unit from both factions to go with them? I love the skinwalker models, but they are always so lackluster on the board, and the ogrun spearmen...I've never even seen them used. I would have thrown in some tharn ravagers and warmongers instead. I guess I can understand why they would use those units, as they have much less complicated rules, but they are units that the player is rarely going to use outside playing games just using the 2P BB.

If we take the Warmachine one as precedent, we see that the armies are based on their Battle Box (or a twist on it, as it was PoM's case) and a full unit of plastic Med-based Infantry.

Warspears where already plastic, so their inclusion is expected. For Circle, it was Skinwalkers or Ravagers. Skinwalkers have recent sculpts and fit Kaya's theme. So it is completely reasonable.

I can't speak for warspears, but you are way off on Skinwalkers. They are a key point in a lot of circle lists offering one of the best parts of our new bricking ability.

I doubt it will be a kit, they should go the way of Exemplar Errants / Knights Exemplar and the upcoming Stormguard and Stormblades, two separate units using the same basic plastic body.

Still, Skinwalkers fit Kaya more.

These are a great way to get started. Myself and a friend of mine were trying to convince another friend to play. I think the selling point was the 2 player warmachine box. He split it with my other friend and took the Khador models, and already had a good starting point for his faction. And it's a good way to grab a new faction for already established players like my already playing friend did with the Menoth models.

Agreed, theres a reason there are a lot of Legion players and very few in the top 25% at major events.
With Legion being the other half of this 2-player, its kinda turning me off to the 2-player. i honestly prefer Skorne or Minions.

I'm tempted to get one, even though I already have the Legion stuff... my Lylyth1 is broken (don't like her much, but meh, the plastic sculpt >>> the metal scultp), I personally would quite like to try the Warmongers, and MOAR SHREDDERS!!!

As much as I'd have done actual cartwheels if this were Circle/Skorne, I still can't say SOLD! with enough emphasis to convey how totally sold I really am on one of these. Every single bit of that Circle side is something I want (okay, less so the Arguses, but I'm curious to give them a go), and I can see throwing in a Legion heavy kit and some magnets to make a Carni/Ravagore and a Carni/Scythean as a decent starting point. Because honestly, any faction that's getting a combat reindeer sled is a faction I want into.
