Hordes 2 player box set

I'll probably pick one up, even though I already have a Legion warpack. Shredders are FA: U, after all, and the idea of a 35-point list with eight Shredders appeals to me for some reason. I don't even know if it'd win any games, but it'd be funny in any case.

I would have liked to see trolls in there so I could trick a friend into starting them, but still that's a deal.

The Carnivean will probably end up being a Scythean(I have spare parts), and who doesn't need more shredders?

I just bought the Circle box today. If this was Circle and Trollbloods, I would be interested. I'll just wait for the Skinwalkers to be released as a separate unit.

I had been eyeballing Circle for my first entry into Hordes. Looks like I have my starting set, plus bonus Legion on top of that.

I'm definitely buying this and its 100% for the Circle, will be cool to get some Legion as a bonus - if it had been Circle/Skorne (with plastic Cataphracts) I think I'd be in a coma right now. Quite pleased .

They seem like a relatable protagonist and mascot type race. THought they would be in there. If they were I would consider this. Still, very good news. I manage the storefront of a FLGS and the two player box does very well.

I was surprised then the Warmachine Two-Player Starter was announced and it didn't have Cygnar. Clearly whoever's in charge of picking the factions for these sets doesn't like the color blue. I mean, first the Warmachine box doesn't have dudes who wear blue, and now the Hordes box excludes dudes who are blue!
Seriously, though, I don't know how the folks at Privateer Press pick the factions for the starters. The only thing I can think of is that Trollbloods and Skorne both rely on synergies that might not be in full force within the model selection of a Two-Player Starter. But that's just a guess.

Hmm. My wife plays Circle and I play Legion, so it looks like I'll be getting a fourth Carnivean. I really wish it was worth taking more than one. I don't have any Warspears, so that's nice.

If have to guess, they pick one faction with a plastic multiwound 5 model unit (Legion and Menoth) and pick another faction that has a multiwound 5 model unit that would have a good body for multiple units (MoW & Skinwalkers).

But thinking on it, plastic Skinwalkers, the mini-book, and the Winter Argus would be $100 right there on its own I think. Will debate this for a bit.

You just have to keep in mind that the 2-player starter boxes aren't FOR the rabid fanboys, as much as we like to get them for the sweet savings on miniatures. The fact that rabid fanboys might have already bought the warpack boxes is simply not a consideration.

Interesting that it's the factions I'd least expect to see inside. Like many others I had expected to see Trolls and/or Skorne... But then for both WM and Hordes I like EVERY Faction. I don't have any Hordes stuff yet, so this has just decided my first two factions to go with my Khador, Menoth and Mercs.

This Rabid Fanboy has already put in his order at his FLSG, despite already having max FA on Warspears and enough of every other Legion model in that box.

Actually I payed about $90 for my metal unit and I'm way excited about is. I've wanted a second unit to run Cassius's teir list, but couldn't justify it. This I can justify.

I was hoping for Trolls, but i suppose that would have required plastic champions, as they can't exactly put mid fennblades in there I suppose, now that I think about it. Too bad, would have been a good excuse to give trolls an alternate battlebox with a heavy. That being said, this might make it more tempting to start Legion over trolls...

I'm glad they didn't put the chickenhead plastic trolls in there. Very dissappointed with those.
