Their best warlock is a Warlock in Legion.

Serious, it's hard to go wrong with Raptors, they hit hard, are fast, and among the best Cav in the game. They operate well without help, which is good, since they rarely get much of it. The best is likely Vayl2, since Stealth is really good on them, and she can offer Icy Grip to a unit they're going into. But honestly, you can take them and they're good.

Defensively, I would argue Rhyas is the best. Occulatation and Dash make them nigh on catchable.

Offensively, I would say pLylyth delivers the most punch, tho a close second would be eLylyth. Both grant powerful feat turns and debuff spells that up the damage curve. eThagrosh always had pop and drop through scourge (tho any decent warbeast can deliver KD via power attack).

This is looking at them in a very small bubble, however, and does not do justice to all that Legion balances itself with. I enjoy the Blackfrost Shard with them to help 'paint the target' and often pVayl will enjoy a flank of raptors to power up her ranged assassinations (and Annyssa for the perfect arc node!). I will say that there is a nice reason why pLylyth allows for 2 units in her tier... ;-)

PG_Pszito said every thing i would have said. words of wisdom. ^^^^^
You cant go wrong with raptors. put them on the feild and dont look back. i will say that in any thing less that 50pts i run a min unit+ annysa. a full unit + annysa is a big price tag at low points. legion has some of the best cav ever.

I think Lylyth1 can make a strong case for Raptors, and run them to great effect. Parasite is such a ridiculously radically awesome change to her from her MK I incarnation, and it shows in a number of ways, not the least of which are with our light cavalry. Consider that Raptors have a 21" threat range, and under Anyssa, function at RAT: 9. Add Lylyth's feat, and they can easily engage a target from numerous threat vectors (likely too numerous for your opponent to cover), that will routinely hit even the highest end of the DEF spectrum. Against WC/WL suffering from Parasite, even one camping focus or holding back transfers, that can spell certain doom.

Additionally, she natively has bushwhack, allowing flexibility of actions and relocation abilities -- That's a theme that coincides with the Raptors light cavalary move.
