    Post Grim at 5o pts

Hey all, looking for some C&C on my 50 point Grim Angus list by the elders of our community. I'm new to hordes, but have been lurking around the tactics boards for awhile. Please let me know if you think this army will pan out and cover all the angles. I like shooting, so i wanted to add in some ranged attacks along with a good melee front, plus some EBDT assassination stuff. I hoped to play this like a bounty hunter style of army, hence the mercs.

    Grim Angus
    -EBDT
    -Impaler
    -Axer
    Max Boomhowler & Co.
    Max Pyg Bushwhackers
    Max Long Riders
    -Horthol
    Runebearer

I'm wondering if a Bomber is a reasonable replacement for the EBDT, as i like the looks of him, and on paper 2 POW 16 bombs, and 2 POW 15 fists seem like a decent trade off; taking into account the snare gun to knock em down before the impending bombing run. Also, is the Rubebearer any good with Grim? Having cheaper spells seems like a decent thing to include, and I had an extra 2 pts to spare.

I was also wondering what the best role for Blyth and Bull is if i ever wanted to include them in my list building? I assume they are for infantry killing, but that's as far as my knowledge/investigations go. Thanks in advance for any help and advise given.

I love the earthborn but i dont like having to pick for high pow targets to get
the best from him which is why recently i have been using a mauler.
I use cav with him and using his feat right they should be fine for a turn.
I have no exeperience with boomhowler with him as i like to take nyss
hunters but im sure they would be fine as they will shoot very well under his
    feat and are amazing tarpit.

Bomber really isn't a reasonable replacement because they do completely different things. Earthborn kills hard targets dead while being flexibly mobile while the bomber support fires

Blythe Bull are a waste of points unfortunately. They can do solo hunting, but even that they really aren't too great at it.

In my experience, I find that Grim has the most trouble with high arm targets, so you'll want to keep the EBDT around. You might just try replacing the Axer with a slag troll. The damage buff helps, and a ROF 2 gun will add to your ranged assassination threat. You don't really need the Axer's animus with EBDT and Grim's bait the line.

    Hello,

I agree with the Bomber/EBDT Delimma. The bomber is its own category, and all our other heavies fall within the other "Beatstick" category. I would keep the EBDT and replace the axer. The super EBDT slingshot is really nice sometimes, but grim's feat can help you set up charge lanes and distances you want anyway. For the axer, I would take a pyre for fire protection and/or another AOE. Grim doesn't like fire, especially if you don't have a KSB.

On the runebearer- Grim is not fury intensive. I never run with one and always end up having 2 fury left over. realisticly, you might be casting MFD one turn, which would cost you 2 fury (Because, you'd probably be getting that close on feat turn) and maybe a boosted attack/damage roll from your gun. Maybe an upkeep cost from the pathfinder spell and you are down to 2 and have nothing else to use it on.

Blythe and Bull- Not really worth it. They are really overcosted for what they do.
