So this is a really simply formation that I've developed for those of you having problems with assassin casters/models. Mine was Thyra who despite all my best efforts, would kill my caster every time if she got to close. Problem is with acrobatics and a feat with placements its pretty hard to keep her away. So I made what I call "the pocket" much like from football. you will need 4 models for this, Megalithe and 3 druids (1 druid is optional). So megalithe is in the front of this formation with his animus being up every turn. Your caster will be directly behind megalithe, and two druids on his flanks. These two druids will have vortexs up with your caster sitting directly in between both of them, but not in either, with both of them connecting in front of him. So lets see what you have here. You now have about 6-7 inches of rough terrain in front of your caster, clouds blocking LOS to your casters, if something does somehow get to your caster is will have to be in a vortex for -2 mat. The 4th druid is sitting behind your caster to hugging him with countermagic, so your counter bubble is around the whole pocket keeping things untouchable. For me as long as Saxon Orrik dies thyra has never been able to get through, and well Saxon is the first on my list to go. Now there are ways to get around this dont get me wrong but I've found it really really cuts down on assassination runs since they cant even charge your caster let alone want to with -2 mat. This does however take lots of points, but megalithe can still be channeling spells, and if you keep it in the center your countermagic bubble is about in the right place. Hope this helps!
