Default What to buy for my daughter

Hey folks! I need a bit of help deciding what unit/beasty to buy next for my daughter. She's 11 (going on 22) and has recently taken over my tiny Legion force. I've been concentrating on Trolls, so her selection of dragon-y goodness is a bit lacking. She's gone for the month and i want to suprise her with something when she gets back.

I would just go buy something we don't have, but if it doesn't synergize well, I'll hear it. The girl went from learning the basics of Hordes to having a carnivean two-handed throw a scythean into Madrak so a occultated Rhyas could ninja flip her way in and decapitate me in a week!! The girl is good!

So here is my current list o' stuff

    eThagrosh
    eVayl
    Rhyas
    Bethanye

    Carnivean
    scythean
    Ravagore
    Seraph
    Raek

    Hex hunters with Beyal
    Min unit of Raptors
    Deathstalker
    Forsaken

    Help!

I'd probably go for pVayl and Typhon, and possibly fill out those raptors.

ill second that if she has a good idea of how to use rhyas properly then she should try vayl1 and typhon. challenging enough to step up her game. good enough to be competitive. fun enough to make an 11(22) year old squee.

She did proxy typhon the other day. Loved the spraying goodness.
You think maxing out on raptors is good?

only at 50pts and ^ min raptors + annysa is better and cost the same as max raptors. think of it as dropping one raptor for a bunch of neat abilities on annysa and she can operate seprate of the unit. i like to put annysa on one flank and the raptors on the other so they can always see her

you might want to pick up some melee infantry, like swordsmen or legionaries. if you're worried about synergy, i find a max squad of swordsmen fit well into a lot of my lists due to their low point cost of 8. those 8 points can usually kill way more than their cost. i'll often take them in my Bethayne list to have a heavy hitter on non feat turns and ashen veil is a killer on them(when it works). as for legionaries, they work really well with eThag thanks to Dragon's Blood(+2 arm and if they're killed then the thing that killed them suffers one damage on a role of 5-6). a Dragon Blooded legionnaire squad is viscous for other infantry to get through.

They are fantastic. Plus, if you do Steamrollers you might have run into reinforcements. I have found a full unit of raptors is an awesome reinforcement set at 50 pts. I love the caribou!

all that i can say is your daughter is the most amazing 11 year old ever. likes legion, AND can kick *** with Rhyas in a week of training? I think she needs to enter some serious tourneys. i can't wait till the league's over so i can break out my legion again (decided to do mercs because ashlynn is just too much fun to annoy my opponents with, when wins aren't overly important). From one e.b. fangirl to another, I'd suggest to her to try abby with a good beast-heavy list for some fun and games. it's so horrible to make your opponent have to focus on one model at a time or risk you using your feat to make all their hard work for absolutely nothing...

With this cast selection you can safely buy Striders+UA, an Angelius and the Typhon
