What to get next?
I'm just getting into war-machine and have purchased and painted a handful of figures. there is a comp coming up in october that I want to compete in and I need to know what my current collection lacks in terms of capability I.e. can't deal with infantry/jacks/whatever and what I can get get to fill that role/roles
So I have
Supreme Kommandant Irusk
Juggernaut
Decimater
Man o-war Demo corp
Widowmakers
Greylord Ternion
I have ordered
Manhunter
Widowmaker Marksman
Wardog
I will use EIrusk so please don't suggest a caster swap
the points for the comp is 35 with 7 in reserve
Please help the newbie

Only thing I can recommend right off the bat is a target for eIrusk's Fire for Effect. Most effective use of that spell is a Mortar Team, or a Gun Carriage. Don't really have much else to add to the list at the moment, maybe some more experienced advice will be offered up.

Conqueror
Agree with the mortar from above.
Start looking at our main line infantry for your next pick up and start thinking about a second caster you may like. Assault Kommandos work well with eIrusk and Vlad, but don't pair well with Strakov or Karchev. IFP work well better with the casters that can't support them. Kayazy assassins work best with eIrusk whose tough combined with their high defense is pretty powerful.
Next on the list would be solos and units that upgrade your current collection. MoW Kovik would help you run the second jack in your collection. Second manhunter and yuri to upgrade and support your current Manhunter. A Koldun Lord would upgrade your greylords and jack marshal/power booster. Mechanics and their UA to repair your jacks and MoW. MoW shocktroopers to protect your D-Core.
If you are ready for the advance course start looking over mercenary units paired with Valchev and solos and attachments.
For your tournament I suggest taking the list.
Supreme Kommandant Irusk
Decimator
Min Kazaay Assassins with UA / min IFP with UA
Mortar
Man o-war Demo corp
Widowmakers
Manhunter
Widowmaker Marksman
Grey lords Terion
put the juggernaut or the rest of the Assassins/IFP, Yuri/Eiryss and the Dog in reserve. If you go with the infantry reserve you could put the greylords in reserve and put the dog and either the solo or the second part of the Assassins/IFP in to the main list.
This should give you a solid competition capable force and a solid collection without too many new models/units.

thanks for the replys I quite like the look of the mortar and if it fits as neatly as you say then i will definitely get it. I had been thinking of the juggernaut in reserve already so i think i will run with your list many thanks

Destroyer of Worlds
You really need one of our big 3 infantry choices, Iron fang, Winterguard infantry, or kayazy. playing with all 3 is even better!
-
Annihilator
Great additions:
- Great Bears (5pt)
- Kayazy + Boss (10pt)
- Eliminators (3pt)
Enjoy!

so the moral of the story is buy infantry... i think I can do that

Annihilator
I heard Herne and Jonne w/Grey Lord Valachev is great under Fire for Effect.
Hot swap between that and a mortar, and you're golden.

I hadn't really thought about merc units although Herne and Jonne look very cool
