    Default Just started Cryx

Like the title says: yesterday I picked up a Cryx starter, the older metal one. I got it second hand form a friend for 25 euros which ain't bad.

From here I am not sure what I will get next, but I know the models I do, and do not like. I like most of the warcaster models, and have read the power progression article in a recent-ish no quarter, which was quite information.

For the 25 point level I will add the Withershadow Combine, and two warwitches. I may drop a bonejack.

    Models I like list:
    ----------------

Warcasters: All (but particular fondness for Skarre, gaspy, venethrax and goreshade)

Solos: Warwitch, Skarlock, machine wraith, satyxis solos, overseer

Warjacks: not a massive fan of bonejacks (though arc nodes are useful), I like Canker worm and most helljacks (new leviathan kit is really nice), Erebus

    Units: Banes, Satyxis, mechanithralls, cephalyx.

I like Cryx, but not all the models are my cup of tea. I want to collect a different sort of army, as two other guys in the group are doing Cryx. One of them has the starter for Cryx, with Skarre, pistols wraiths, bane knights, darragh wrathe, and plans to get soul hunters. Another has epic Denny and is using nightmare and bloodgorgers, and also has the witch coven. So, I want to do something a little different.

I have always found the Cryx faction community the most friendly and helpful, even before I started Cryx.

I will. The water beds are quite comfy. Hold on a second, those are maggots!

Yeah. I do enjoy these forums over all. I find the Cygnar forums to be the most trouble some. Everywhere is decently helpful. But around here we just get a long. Some people say it is because of our rules but dems just some whining.

I am not on the Cyngar forums that often. I will have to take a look at sometime, putting on the riot gear before I drop by though for safety. The Dragonfather has eternity, so what's the point in arguing? Sounds like whining to me!

    Well, I just picked up:

    pGoreshade
    Machine Wraith
    Cephalyx Overlords
    Skarlock

I have them assembled, done small conversions on the first and last item listed, and they are based. I just need good weather tomorrow to prime them.

You'll want to grab some banes for his feat.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

I know! I'll have to shop around and try and get them at a good price, but yes, they are next on the ol shopping list.

Well, I just picked up a Harrower (plastic kit) and some Cephalyx and Drudges. The Banes still elude me though... for now.
