Destroyer of Worlds
Lazy Sundays Gaming BatReps - Circle vs (various)
So, sometimes I want to write, anything for the sake of writing.
With the ETC coming up in a few weeks, I'll be trying to get in as many games with my 50pt list as I can, against different opponents, so I figured I'd snap some pics and write up the battle reports, and maybe people can point out things either me or my opponents missed.
For starters, unless mentioned otherwise (I may write up other games), this is the list being used;
Kromac the Ravenous
- Ghetorix
- Warpwolf Stalker
- Shadowhorn
- Gorax
- Druid Wilder
Druid Stoneward & Woldstalkers
Druid Stoneward & Woldstalkers
Shifting Stones
- Stone Keeper
Shifting Stones
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew
Blackclad Wayfarer
Blackclad Wayfarer
Reinforcements
Max Gatormen Posse
Feralgeist
'A Flag Too Far', vs Retribution of Scyrah (Kaelyssa)
As a prescursor to this match-up, bear in mind I've always been a big fan of Kaelyssa and I recommend her to people as a flexible toolbox 'caster, though people inevitably gravitate towards Rahn, Ravyn, Ossyan etc, so, I should know what she does since I recommend her to people. Bear that in mind as you read the report that follows!
So, the army I played against was as follows;
Kaelyssa, Night's Whisper;
- Discordia
- Phoenix
Max Dawnguard Invictors
- Officer & Standard
- Soulless Escort
Max Dawnguard Sentinels
- Officer & Standard
- Soulless Escort
House Shyeel Battle Mages
Narn, Mage Hunter of Ios
Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios
Arcanist
Reinforcements
Fane Knight Skeryth Issyen
Dawnguard Destor Thane
Arcanist
Retribution deployment was as follows;

From left to right of the visible stuff; Invictors, Discordia, Kaelyssa, Phoenix, Sentinels. Battle Mages are behind the 'jacks. Narn and Eiryss are deployed out front.
Circle deployment as follows;

From left to right; Ghetorix with a Blackclad Wayfarer behind him, Gorax, Woldstalkers, Druid Wilder (behind the Woldstalkers), Kromac, Swamp Gobbers, Stalker, Blackclad Wayfarer (hidden behind the Stalker) Shadowhorn, more Woldstalkers. Double Shifting Stones (+ UA on one unit) are Advance Deployed.
Circle Turn 1
Managed to mess up order of activations with my very first activation, d'oh! Ghetorix warps Hyper Aggressive and runs up the table. Shadowhorn runs. Gorax runs up next to the ruins (to hand out Primal to Ghetorix nest turn if the Phoenix gets too close!). Kromac activates, Warpath on himself, Wild Aggression on the Stalker, then advances to get in range of Ghetorix before casting Inviolable Resolve on him. Stalker warps Strength and runs. Swamp Gobbers run up next to the Stalker (hidden in the pic below by the ruins). Both units of Woldstalkers run up in support. Blackclad Wayfarers position to be able to throw out Hunters' Marks next turn. Stones position around my 'beasts. Not much to report really!
Top of Turn 1;

Retribution Turn 1
Kaelyssa allocates two Focus to Discordia, keeping the rest. Invictors run up the field in Defensive Line, Sentinels do the same. Discordia pops it's bubble of ARM buff against shooting and then runs up behind the Invictors. Eiryss moves up and takes a pot shot at a Blackclad Wayfarer, hitting but not doing enough damage to kill. Kaelyssa casts Banishing Ward on the Sentinels and Phantom Hunter on the Phoenix (nothing else to do) before advancing up behind the end of the wall. Arcanist advances and then Power-boosts the Phoenix, who then runs up in front of Kaelyssa. Battle Mages run up behind.
Bottom of Turn 1;

Due to the 4-pics-per-post limit, Turn 2 to follow in the next post...

Destroyer of Worlds
Circle Turn 2
Turn passes to me, Kromac leaches Fury back to full, upkeeping all 3 spells. Reinforcements deploy on my right-hand flank. Trying to guesstimate if one of the Gators is in charge range of Eiryss, I realise I have nothing to lose if it's a failed charge (charges vs living are the same 10" of movement as running), as it stands, the closest Gator fails his charge by 1/4", so the rest run, fanning out behind the front Gator (so that anyone trying to engage them takes free strikes from the Gator at the front).
I then estimate that I can get Ghetorix into the Phoenix with a Warpath and Hunters Mark. Druid Wilder activates and throws Lightning Strike on the Gorax (sprinting Gorax!!) who then charges Eiryss, boosting to hit with his charge attack and fluffing it. His second initial (also boosted) lands and the Elf is squished. Ghetorix takes the kill as a Warpath-movement, before the Gorax takes his sprint move out of Ghetorix's charge lane. Thinking I've got it in the bag, a Blackclad Wayfarer walks up and Hunters Marks the Phoenix, successfully landing the spell. But wait... Kaelyssa has Witch Hound. The Phoenix wanders off and is now sat the other side of the wall, miles away from Ghetorix (have you ever seen a Warpwolf with a sad-panda face? Ghetorix had a sad-panda face at this point!). But that's alright I think, the Stalker likely has range to where the Phoenix is now, with the added movement from Hunters Mark. Best move the Swamp Gobbers out of the way. So I move them right into the way, and pop down a cloud. Even if the Stalker was in range, he now can't see the Phoenix to charge it. Supreme blonde moment. Trying to salvage something, Ghetorix backs up. Shadowhorn advances and toes the zone around the flag my opponent has to score on. Stalker toes the zone too. Woldstalkers advance, Druid calls Concentrated Fire and the 3 Woldstalkers in range throw shots into the Phoenix to nil effect (it's now within Disco's bubble). Kromac advances and throws up Bestial (to at least stop the Battle Mages reeling in Ghetorix). Stones shift around my 'beasts, Stone Keeper goes into Stone Form, and I pass my turn.
Top of Turn 2;

Retribution Turn 2
Starting his turn, my opponent is measuring Kaelyssa's control range in Kromac's direction, he looks at me and goes "Do you reckon I should go for it?" to which I respond with words to the effect of "Go for what?" (having completely forgotten what Kaelyssa does so far!).
So, having realised what a brain fart I've made, I'm looking longingly at Kromac's Bestial token, silently wishing it were 4 transfers instead of 1 with Bestial up! Kaelyssa drops Banishing Ward and Phantom Hunter, and activates first. Casting Phantom Hunter on herself (to ignore Kromac's cover) she advances, throwing a boosted shot into Kromac, adding insult to injury by taking his 1 Fury and using it to boost the damage. Kromac's already limping and it's only Turn 2, good start!
Oh wait, Kaelyssa's gun is ROF 3. D'oh, knew I'd forgotten something critical. So she buys a 2nd shot, boosts to hit, and boosts the damage, and Kromac goes down.
Final shot of the game (the white resin base you see in the relative distance is Kaelyssa!);

So, not a good showing for my first practice game with this list for the ETC! But, that's the point of practice games right?
We also managed to get in another game that was somewhat equally ridiculous, with me getting a Wild Aggressioned Primal'ed Stalker into melee bottom of Turn 1 (double Teleport + Warpath). I couldn't quite get to Kaelyssa with him as I hoped, so the Stalker settled for wiping out a unit of Battle Mages, half a unit of Invictors and scrapping a Phoenix from untouched! Following my failed assassination run, my opponent then manages to get Kaelyssa to fire some shots into Kromac (in beast form with 7 transfers due to Feat!), missing with one before the Sentinels charge in, failling to land a hit. Ghetorix then teleports into melee with a Sentinel at the back of the unit, killing him and Warpath'ing into melee with Kaelyssa before squishing her.
Slightly more successful, but an equally silly game where we both overextended ourselves and left our 'casters swinging in the breeze!!
Next report to come will probably be Wednesday night, a report on Tuesday night's game (yes, I realise the thread title is already out of date
).

Annihilator
Hey, great report, lovely looking models too!
Everybody forgets things, I forgot about ghostly a few weeks ago in a Circle vs. Circle match up, and I've been playing since mark1 and all the way thorough mark2, and was actually fielding a pureblood on myside! Lesson learned if it doesn't happen again....
Thanks for the write up.

Destroyer of Worlds
Learning my lessons the first time would be great if I didn't make the same mistakes often! I do find myself leaving my 'caster swinging in the breeze a little too often (normally to give me order of activation choice in my following turn...).
Anyhow, time for an update, managed to get two games in tonight. I did request that my opponent run Saeryn tonight since she's supposedly a hard counter for Kromac, when he normally plays (and is familiar with) Rhyas so bear that in mind. On to the report...
'Close Quarters', vs Legion of Everblight (Saeryn)
I tweaked my list slightly, since the Shadowhorn seems to be pants both on paper and on the table, and I've recognised that Kromac has an inherent weakness to long ranged shooting as I have nothing to get in the way of the enemy shots and him, so the list was as thus;
Kromac the Ravenous:
- Warpwolf Stalker
- Feral Warpwolf
- Wold Guardian
- Gorax
- Druid Wilder
Druid Stoneward & Woldstalkers
Druid Stoneward & Woldstalkers
Shifting Stones
- Stone Keeper
Shifting Stones
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew
Blackclad Wayfarer
Blackclad Wayfarer
Essentially swapping out Ghetorix and the Shadowhorn for a Feral Warpwolf and a Wold Guardian.
The list I played against was as follows;
Saeryn, Omen of Everblight:
- Typhon
- Carnivean
- Ravagore
- Shredder
Max Blighted Nyss Hex Hunters
Min Blighted Nyss Swordsmen
- Abbot & Champion UA
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew
Forsaken
Blighted Nyss Shepherd
We both played the exact same armies for both games. I won the roll off and opted to go second.
Legion deployment as follows;

Left to right, we have Hex Hunters, Carnivean, Ravagore, Shepherd (hidden behind said Ravagore), Swamp Gobbers, Saeryn, Typhon, Shredder (hidden behind Typhon), Swordsmen, with the Forsaken behind the (Fearless!) Swordsmen.
Circle deployment as follows;

Left to right, we have Woldstalkers, Blackclad Wayfarer (behind the Woldstalkers), Feral, other Blackclad Wayfarer (behind Feral), Wold Guardian, Gorax (behind Guardian), Kromac, Warpwolf Stalker, my Swamp Gobbers, more Woldstalkers, and Shifting Stones Advance Deployed.
Overall shot of the table to give you an idea of the setup we're playing on;

Legion Turn 1
Pretty much everything gets run up the field, Respawn goes on the Carnivean, both the Carnivean and Ravagore get Spiny Growth. Typhon gets Tenacity from the Shredder. Forsaken has already slurped up some Fury from Typhon.
Top of Turn 1;

Hex Hunters (not pictured) are off to my left ready to blast anything that sets foot into the zone on my opponent's side!
Circle Turn 1 to follow in the next post... (*grumble grumble* 4 pics per post limit *grumble grumble*).

Destroyer of Worlds
Circle Turn 1
Measuring Kromac's control area, I deduced that I could double Teleport-Warpath a 'beast into either the Carnivean or Ravagore Turn 1 (due to the Stone behind my 'beasts), but the chances of getting a Warpath trigger off the DEF16 Swordsmen (in a cloud) was unlikely, so I decided against it.
Woldstalkers on my left ran up on to the hill on my left (elevation gives them a chance against Magic Attack [6] Hex Hunters), Woldstalkers on my right ran into the forest (no point really, out of habit!), Kromac casts Inviolable Resolve on the Feral, Wild Aggression on the Stalker, and Flesh of Clay on himself (I opted not to cast Warpath, since I'd rather have Flesh of Clay in case the Ravagore decides to 'tag' Kromac at range!). Gobbers advance and pop smoke. Stalkers warps Prowl and runs into the cloud. Stones shift up around the 'beasts. Wold Guardian pops Flesh of Clay on himself and tramples through a stone, doing 2 damage to it on the way through. Yay! Gorax runs. Blackclads position to be able to advance to throw out Hunters Marks (gotta love Immunity Fire) and the Wilder hangs well back in the hope she might do something before getting shot.
Bottom of Turn 1;

Legion Turn 2
Respawn gets upkept, Banishing Ward gets dropped. Ravagore advances and shoots the Stalker for some meaty damage. Carnivean's spray tags the Stalker for some damage, kills a stone from the other unit, and narrowly missing one of the Gobbers. Typhon walks up and sprays a stone from the other unit (Teleport shenanigans knocked out Turn 2, really must learn to shield my Stones!), sprays at the Blackclad (to no effect) and fires a spray at the Feral for some more damage. Saeryn, keen to deny me some movement pops her Feat, and charges the Carnivean, doing no damage. She then throws a Hellfire at the nearest Blackclad (which isn't actually fire damage! I was quite upset!!) narrowly avoiding killing with a roll of 3 on 2D6, yay for me! She then throws a Breath Stealer at the Warpwolf Stalker (to deny charges into the Hex Hunters I think) but turned out to be outside Prowl 5" Stealth range. Hex Hunters advance and try to hex bolt a couple of Woldstalkers, but miss due to the Woldstalkers elevation bonus. Shredder casts Tenacity on Saeryn.
Top of Turn 2;

Hex hunters and Woldstalkers staring each other down on my left flank;

Circle Turn 2 to follow in the next post...

Destroyer of Worlds
Circle Turn 2
I start my turn by looking longingly at Saeryn, she's protected by her Feat but that doesn't stop me shooting her, or spelling her for that matter. Only problem with that, she's effectively DEF 19. Problem!
I look at my side of the table, and a plan formulates itself pretty quickly, both Inviolable Resolve and Wild Aggression get upkept. The Wold Guardian activates first and runs up in front of Saeryn, turning his back to my Feral. The Feral warps for armour and declares a slam on the Wold Guardian (slam angle looks squiffy as I moved the Wold Guardian back in front of the Feral to take a snap for cinematic effect!);

Easily in range, I boost to hit just to make sure (it wouldn't be the first time I've rolled snake-eyes on a critical roll) and easily lands it. The Wold Guardian gets slammed... 6"! Straight through Saeryn and a poor Swordsmen behind her who got squished;

With Saeryn now knocked down, and both units of Woldstalkers still at full strength and able to land shots on Saeryn it's all over bar the shouting;

So, a decisively quick game! I'm still not sure how I'm supposed to deal with the threat of the Feat, other than hang back and force the Saeryn player to use it to get into range. At least then I'm only taking one round of attacks, rather than the Feat being used to get two rounds of attacks in.
With it still being relatively early after that quick game, we did get in a second game which I'll write up tomorrow evening.
If you have any feedback / constructive criticism, do post up a response. Thanks for reading this far!

Thanks for posting these bat-reps! The pictures really help, especially as you have painted models. (A sea of silver vs. another sea of silver just isn't the same.) I'm looking forward to the final game posting and after game thoughts.
best,

I'm hoping to get a couple of games in over the next couple of weeks against fully painted armies, will snap more in-turn shots of those
Cheers,

Destroyer of Worlds
So, the report of Tuesday's second game is a write-off, the pictures somehow transferred in the wrong order, so not sure what happened in what order! Nevermind, I managed a game last night, so we'll write that up instead!
Incursion, vs Legion of Everblight (Thagrosh2)
My list was the same as the last game;
Kromac the Ravenous;
- Warpwolf Stalker
- Feral Warpwolf
- Wold Guardian
- Gorax
- Druid Wilder
Druid Stoneward & Woldstalkers
Druid Stoneward & Woldstalkers
Shifting Stones
- Stone Keeper
Shifting Stones
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew
Blackclad Wayfarer
Blackclad Wayfarer
I won the roll off so opted to go first, deploying as thus;

If you've read the other reports, you should recognise the fairly standard deployment by now!
Thagrosh the Messiah;
- Typhon
- Carnivean
- Scythean
- Shredder
- Shredder
- Shredder
- Shredder
- Succubus
Max Legionnaires
- Farilor & Standard
Blighted Nyss Shepherd
Blighted Nyss Shepherd
Deployed like so;

There's a couple of proxies / conversions, so left to right we have; Scythean, Shepherd (converted Legionnaire with crook), Legionnaires + UA, Thagrosh, swarm of Shredders in front of him, Typhon, Shepherd (again, converted Legionnaire with crook), Carnivean.
To give you an idea of the layout, this is the table we're playing on;

Circle Turn 1
Both units of Woldstalkers run wide on their respective flanks to be able to threaten the outer flags should the middle one disappear. Kromac activates and casts Warpath, Wild Aggression on the Stalker, and Inviolable Resolve on the Feral. Swamp Gobbers pop smoke, Feral Warps for ARM and runs into the cloud. Gorax follows him to the right of the rocky formation. Stalker (pointlessly!) warps Prowl and runs to the left of the rocky formation. The Wold Guardian pops Flesh of Clay and tramples up next to the Stalker. Blackclads run up where they can advance unhindered next turn to throw out Hunters Marks as needed. Stones form up around my battlegroup.
Top of Turn 1;

Up at the top of the shot you can just about make out the Blackclad + Woldstalkers on my right flank. Out of shot at the bottom is the other Blackclad + Woldstalkers on my left flank.
Legion Turn 1 to follow in the next post...
-
Destroyer of Worlds
Legion Turn 1
Thagrosh activates first, casts Dragon's Blood on the Legionnaires, Spiny Growth on himself and Typhon and then charges the Gorax, failing the charge and ending his activation. Legionnaires run up on my left flank, nicely bunched up to make the most of Defensive Line. Scythean runs up with them in support. Carnivean casts Spiny Growth on himself and then declares an Assault / Charge on the Woldstalkers, but falls a couple of inches short with his 10" spray. Typhon runs up on to the hill. Succubus runs up behind Thagrosh, and the Shredders mill about behind the hill since the 'beasts are already running with enough Fury.
Bottom of Turn 1 we have;

As it's Incursion, we roll to see which flag disappears, much to my dismay the flag on my left disappears.
Circle Turn 2
I start my turn by leaching my Fury from my 'beasts, Warpath and Wild Aggression get upkept. I drop Inviolable Resolve since I have a different plan for it this turn.
The Woldstalkers on my left start by advancing closer to the Scythean, spreading out but being careful to keep the Stoneward within 4" of the flag, Stoneward then calls Concentrated Fire and the Woldstalkers put a little damage on the Scythean. Woldstalkers on my right advanced to try and get at the Shepherd, but decided better not to give the Carnivean an Assault target, so they Zephyr'ed out of the way and spread out. Feral warps for armour again and repositions within the Shifting Stone unit that he's positioned in.
Kromac casts Inviolable Resolve on the Wold Guardian, camping 2 transfers as he positions a little closer behind the rock formation. Stalker warps Prowl and advances. Wold Guardian pops Flesh of Clay and tramples forwards within 4" of the flag, hoping to buy me a turn. Non-UA Shifting Stones port forwards, sitting around Kromac and the Stalker, with one directly behind the Wold Guardian for possible 'Healing Field' action next turn. Other unit of Stones repositions slightly, and both Blackclads run to position themselves outside charge ranges, and away from other stuff to try and draw out the 'beast sprays.
Top of Turn 2;

To be continued in the next post...

Last pic from the Top of Turn 2;

Legion Turn 2
All the Fury gets leached back to Thagrosh, who upkeeps Dragon's Blood for free (courtesy of the Succubus!). We both know this will likely be Thagrosh's Feat turn.
Thagrosh activates first, casting Manifest Destiny before advancing a little closer but remaining on the hill, and then Feat'ing, casting Spiny Growth on himself. The Carnivean then activates, popping Spiny Growth before declaring an Assault on one of the Woldstalkers, mercilessly slaughtering him and handily killing the Shifting Stone (a grey stone from the UA unit) behind the Druid Stoneward.
Typhon then activates, sprays down the Blackclad Wayfarer to no effect (Immunity Fire), throws a spray into the Wold Guardian for no damage but killing a Shifting Stone behind him (white stone from the non-UA unit, so no more teleporting shenanigans!). He then throws his last spray at Kromac, but is just out of range. The Shredders all go Rabid and start hurtling towards my Wold Guardian (at this point I start to doubt the Guardian will survive), the Scythean then comes crashing into the Wold Guardian, and between Manifest Destiny and boosted damage rolls actually manages to leave the Guardian limping a little, with his Mind crippled, but both Spirit and Body still intact (fortunately for me, now thet Shifting Stone behind him has been nuked!). The Legionnaires pop Iron Zeal (+4 ARM) and charge into the Woldstalkers killing the only 2 they can engage, but critically jamming up the left hand flag.
Shepherds and the Succubus run up in support. We then start doing the Feat moves, the Scythean moves around the Guardian to engage both the Stalker and the Guardian, taking a swing at the Guardian for little damage, a rabid Shredder chows down on the Blackclad, and Typhon takes a swing at the Guardian for no damage. 3 Shredders then waltz into the Guardian, 2 doing no damage but one spiking for a few damage.
Bottom of Turn 2;
Woldstalkers and Legionnaires staring each other down on my left flank;

Mash-up in the middle! Things are getting hair-raisingly close to Kromac!

Turn passes to me... Circle Turn 3 to follow in the next post!
-
Destroyer of Worlds
Circle Turn 3
So, turn passes to me. I doubt that I can get a foothold on the scenario with all the gribblies in my face, but we can at least get a leg-up on the attrition game by thinning their numbers a little! I leach back my Fury, upkeeping Wild Aggression and Warpath. Inviolable Resolve gets dropped, since I don't plan on Typhon or the Scythean being around to threaten him after I've had my turn!
Checking my control area, I estimate that there's about 5" between Typhon and the Carnivean, meaning if the Feral can finish off the Carnivean I can get some hits in with his remaining Fury on to Typhon. Only problem is the Shredder in the way, so the Woldstalkers activate first, forfeiting their movement to aim. The Stoneward then Zephyr's so the Woldstalkers can get LOS and range on the Shredder, promptly taking him off the table in a couple of shots.
The Woldstalkers on my left then activate, also aiming and Zephyr'ing to nail a Shepherd and at least tie up a few Legionnaires with the Stoneward's Reach stick! Non-UA Shifting Stones port over towards the left hand flag to try and help contest it. UA Stones teleport over to throw a Rock Hammer at the Carnivean, hitting but doing no damage.
The Wold Guardian activates next, boosting an initial attack on Typhon (to get 2D6 to hit him, with a crippled mind!), luckily landing a hit and putting him on the floor, before battering him senseless with another 3 attacks, but not taking out any aspects.
The Wilder then activates, advancing up behind the Feral whilst keeping the Gorax in her command range to throw Primal on the Feral. Feral then warps for Strength and advances into the Carnivean, ripping him into shreds with some hot rolls on his initial attacks, before Warpathing into Typhon and finishing him off with a single bought attack Go Feral! He really earned his stripes in this game!
The Swamp Gobbers activate next, the leader charges my Gorax, landing a hit (back strike bonus helped!), rolling a mighty 15 on 3D6 to nail the Gorax for 2 damage. Yay for Pain Response! Gorax then activates next, casting Primal on the Stalker before charging (for free, courtesy of the Swamp Gobbers poking him) into the Scythean, landing two boosted POW 12's to dent him up some more (on top of the Woldstalker shooting).
Stalker activates next, advancing into the Scythean as close as possible to the nearest Shredders, clawing him up and finishing him off with his sword attack. He then takes a Warpath move into the Shredders, turning to keep the Wold Guardian in his back arc (he'll frenzy next turn remember), buying two more attacks to one-hit-kill two Shredders.
At this point there's a single Shredder left, that Kromac wants to kill for the sake of killing something, so Kromac activates next. With his 5 Fury, he casts Bestial and then casts Lightning Strike on himself. He then Feats for 7 damage, beasting out at the same time, advancing and then jumping over the obstruction into combat with the last Shredder, cleaving him in two with his initials, the Wold Guardian takes a Warpath move off the kill, before Kromac Sprints back closer to his 'beasts (and critically out of charge range of Thagrosh!) whilst camping 7 transfers.
Top of Turn 3;

Can you spot what I messed up? I made a fairly critical mistake here that I didn't realise until the start of my next turn!!!
Legion Turn 3
Dragon's Blood again gets upkept for free. The Legionnaires charge into the Woldstalkers, the Druid Stoneward, and the one Shifting Stone contesting, cutting them all down and essentially bagging a control point. Thagrosh activates, charging into the Wold Guardian and smashing him into dust with plenty of Fury to spare, exploding him into an Eruption of Ash. The Succubus runs up near the Feral (to be closer to the Feral when he frenzies than Thagrosh is, and to lead him away from the flag). The remaining Shepherd runs to engage the remaining Blackclad Wayfarer.
[No pic here, got a bit carried away with starting my turn, d'oh!!]
Circle Turn 4
So, did you spot the critical mistake I made in my turn?
I look at Kromac, realising I'd positioned him outside the threat ranges of everything left on the table (bar Thagrosh's spray), but still camped 7 transfers. Unnecessary, and not sensible considering I had the Gorax on 3 Fury. Take a look at the Gorax's position at the end of my last turn. Yes, right behind Kromac. That would be a problem!
Kromac stays in Beast form, and drops all his upkeeps.
As expected, the Gorax frenzied and ripped a bloody great chunk out of Kromac, taking him down to 3 boxes. Not good! I didn't transfer it, as I only had Kromac to try and finish off Thagrosh!
The Stalker frenzied on the nearby Shifting Stone, easily killing it. Meanwhile, the Feral frenzies on the Succubus, killing her outright.
I can either get Kromac into Thagrosh and hope I kill him, or jump into the Legionnaires with Kromac and start slaughtering them, contesting that objective, but then I'd lose on scenario with Thagrosh camping the middle flag, so I have to kill Thagrosh this turn!
The Woldstalkers activate first, aiming and then Zephyr'ing to try and put some early damage on Thagrosh. I work out that with POW 12's vs his ARM 17, I should be rolling a couple of pts of damage a shot thus not triggering his Blood Spawn ability (new transfer target essentially!). First shot hits and rather hilariously rolls double-5 for damage, Thagrosh poops out a Shredder. This was not part of the plan! The other Woldstalkers miss.
Kromac charges into Thagrosh and starts ripping into him with multiple attacks, fortunately being at the point where he can hit on 5's and is at dice -3 for damage, so best option is to swing with as many attacks as Kromac has Fury. 2 initials and 4 additional attacks he manages to land the final blow, killing the Shredder and finishing off Thagrosh with the overflow damage;

Afterthoughts
The kill count doesn't show just how very close I got to losing on scenario in that game, really should be keeping a closer eye on what I'm intending to contest the flags with, especially when going first, since I need to be toeing the zones during my Turn 2 to try and stop my opponent (who, going second, has the first chance to score) scoring 2pts on his Turn 2.
It's all good fun though, I am rather starting to enjoy Kromac's balls-out aggression!

Thanks for this fiess, it's so helpful to see your side of the game too, and most importantly why you choose to do things.
