    Default Deo85 3D Shop

Hey all I decided to start doing models of Warmachine models I probably will alter them a bit for fun but there great for inspiration though.

First up my first rough draft of War Hog modeled in ZBrush as you notes some parts are missing sense these parts are going to be mechanical so I got to learn how to do hard surface modeling in Zbrush.

Here is the image I modeled it off of: http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gal...beasts/war-hog

Nice! Looking forward to the possibility of you updating this as you continue with the project!

Absolutely amazing. Is it the sort of render that can get animated eventually?

After seeing that tail though I am very, very glad it does not have the same Animus as a Shadowhorn Satyr!

Yep this model can get animated down the line after I am done modeling and texturing it. Got to do some more work on that tail though maybe model in the hair lines. I worked on some hard surface modeling tonight and did the leg. Tomorrow I get to work on one of the arms then the other one.

Here is the leg sized and fitted on the War Hog as well as some updates to the Warhog Mesh gonna work on one of the arms tomorrow

The arm looks good but you may want to make it a little bigger. it feels like its missing some of that warmachine chunkyness, especially the fingers but that might just be the angle.

I think I am going to bring up the finger size also the whole arm you think needs to be bigger?

I think the size from elbow to wrist is fine but it might looks better if it was a little bigger around. here is a quick sketch I did over your render that better illustrates what I'm trying to say.

It looks like you are using Z-Brush. One of the things I love about that program is how simple is it to tweak overall dimensions.

Again this is just my opinion and its your project so the final say is yours. I look forward to seeing more of this guy/

Nice I think I will try that tonight and put up some new screen shots. I just finished his other mechanical arm last night. Tonight I get to work on the smoke stacks for his back. I hope its ok that I am tweaking the design to fit my own in the mechanical parts and such. You are right its Zbrush my 1# favorite 3D modeling tool. It feels so much more natural modeling in this program then doing it in 3DS Max.

This model was giving me a chance to learn how to hard surface model for the first time in Zbrush I rly learned to love the polish brushes, clipping brushes, and Shadow box feature. When do I get to see some more of your 3D using Invader Zahn?? You are the one who got e into try to model Warmachine models.

Its looking very nice. I struggle with the hard surface stuff in Zbrush. as far as when you will see more of my stuff, I'm afraid it might be a while Home PC is just shy of broken and my free time and creative energies are more focused on painting actual minis currently.

The model looks pretty good, the tusks looks like a villains mustache though. They need to be thicker and less sharp, they do root around in the dirt with them after all.
You don't kill models in eStryker's army, you simply open up charge lanes.

I agree Fire4effekt the tusks are way to sharp to be realistic in the sense of a real bores tusks. I am going to ground them down and add some cracks to them to make them look used and used. Its been a week sense I last worked on this model I am going to push some hard work on it this Wed day sens I have it off. Get the tusks re done then do some work on the back I did get the axes done just have not uploaded the screen shots. This guy is almost done O.o not bad for a week of modeling I suppose.
