Create Scrap Thrall and multiple Wreck Markers

Can the "Create Scrap Thrall" special ability of Necrotechs affect only one wreck marker at a time or is it possible to transform more of them in Thralls if the Necrotech is in B2B with them?

To use this special action, this model must be in base contact with a wreck marker. Make a
skill check. If it passes, d3 Scrap Thralls are created from a light wreck marker or d6 from a heavy wreck marker. Remove the
wreck marker from play and place the Scrap Thralls within 3 ̋ of this model. Placed Scrap Thralls cannot activate this turn.

If it were able to convert more than one marker at a time, it would say something like "each light wreck marker" and "Remove the wreck markers" instead of being consistently singular.
