Default Colossals event: Khador's best hope

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but the Colossals event rules are officially up:

The interaction with the sanctuary seems really interesting. The free for all is a little intimidating, but i'm looking forward to it.

so, what do we think our best combos are to win this?

i'm thinking this that will get us to the middle ASAP, and thing that will slow our opponent down on the way in, and the first thing that springs to mind is pSorsha's feat and the Battle Wagon's rough terrain.

    any thoughts?

Karchev sounds like a good choice to me (as usual). His DEF is crap so knockdown and stationary don't matter much. Fire...meh, he has the ARM to deal with it. If you use Lash from the Mechanik UA or use Sidearms then you wouldn't even need to worry about the knockdown. The scenario forces you into the middle of the table so you may as well bring along a tank that can deal with that.

    Ummm... Old Witch!
Run Scrappy in and teleport the Witch next to him in the middle, drop Murder of Crows then feat, slowing down your opponent. Also, our Battle Engine.

*facepalm* wow. i hadn't thought of the witch, and i just played her last night.

speaking of casters i play, harkevich giving the jacks a little extra speed and pathfinder might let them get to the party early and post up.

...might also be sort of fun to bring some of our high DEF infantry to completely surround and be base-to-base with the objective to force the opponent to deal with them before they can even attempt a control point. do it with WGI and they might be able to make it hurt by doing CRA's on enemy jacks that step too close.

what about the "take only models with ranged attacks" glorious deed? behemoth (or Ivan in my case) is an obvious choice as are the various winter guard, but no kayazy, no IFP, and no great bears makes things a bit trickier.
