    Default 15point nooby help

    Hi.
Long time lurker first time poster, I've recently got into warmahordes and must say I really love the Skorne models, couldn't really say much gameplay wise yet as i havent actually played a game

Anyways, I've read the Skorne buyers guide but I really really want to get straight into Emakeda as she is one of the 3 models that really turned me to the faction (Cyclopse shaman and BB titan). I was wondering what would be a typical generic 15 point starter for her to get me on my way (gotta start somewhere right)

Any and all help would be appreciated so thanks in advance

I am by no means a great player, so if anyone wants to call **** on my ideas, by all means lol.
Lets build from what you like then...

    Makeda 2
    Min Paingiver beast handlers
    Max Praetorean Swordsmen

from here you pick your beast(s) and fill out the rest of the points.

You could go with the Bronzeback & Unit attachment for the swordsmen
Or maybe even Cyclops Shaman + Brute with the UA for swordsmen
Gladiator is a great beast that will get used a lot as you build for larger games, but what you do with the last 4 points here is kind of up in the air... maybe Hakaar? or UA+????

I'm a big fan of the Nihilators at min unit they still chop down infantry like mad men (insert a bad pun). Still highly effective as speed bump to fling the Glad around. You can replace Brute for Shaman if you want.

    Supreme Archdomina Makeda 5
    Cyclops Brute 5
    Titan Gladiator 8
Nihilators (Leader and 5 Grunts) 5
Paingiver Beast Handlers (Leader and 3 Grunts) 2

This pretty much my core for 15 points rest of the points insert whatever beasts to your flavour. 13 points remaining.

    Supreme Archdomina Makeda 5
Nihilators (Leader and 5 Grunts) 5
Paingiver Beast Handlers (Leader and 3 Grunts) 2

Depending on your opponent you can also take one of our new pieces. The Archidon. With a base spd of 7 it is our fastest beast, flight helps against terrain issues and you can charge through enemy models (during the feat turn without freestrikes). The Archidons animus is great for Makeda, coz with sprint she can charge in, kill some models in range and sprint away. In a 15pts game it is a big difference if you have a fighting or only supporting caster.

With Engine of Destruction up, she can charge for 11,5" at mat 11 and P+S 16. If you do not need Road to war that turn, she is a good threat even against enemy heavys (5 attacks at P+S16 = 28,5 dmg against arm 18, and still 18,5 against arm 20)

    Supreme Archdomina Makeda
    Archidon
    Shaman
    min. PGBH
    min. Swordsmen
    - UA

Not sure if you want to buy Swordsmen for eMakeda, coz without her, Nihilators are better. Vengeance, Road to War and her feat make them shine. Without Road to War they have a thread range of 9,5" and that really sucks for such a squishy unit.

With the Archidon you can also think about to cast Sprint 2-3 Swordsmen in the turn they charge, let them dance with their mini feat and sidestep through the enemy unit, and when done advance another 8" (R2W still counts for Sprint) deeper into the enemy lines, or back to a safe place.

If you will face a lot of ARM 20+ heavys, i suggest not to take an Archidon, coz with only P+S 15(17) and a single initial attack you will struggle to bring them down.

Exactly what I was thinking lol. I personally prefer swordmen over nihilators myself due to the 2 attacks base and the mini-feat. I agre 100% on sprint being a huge boost in small games.

    Try
    PMakeda -6
    Molik Karn 11
    Titan Gladiator 8

Then you'll have 1 point left over for something random, Feralgeist or Swamp Gobbers

    Basically the cyclops missle.
Cast Savagery and Rush on Molik to give him +2SPD and Pathfinder+5" on Full Advance. Cast Molik's Animus fate-walker and you can
Full advance 13 inches to either combo strike, or hit with 2 initial attacks, side step back 2" then fate-walker activates and you can move back
    another 13 inches to safety.

At 15 points this is incredibly difficult to deal with.

    Think I would try:

    Archdomina Makeda +5

    10 Bronzeback
    8 Gladiator
    2 Beasthandlers (L+3)
