After talking to many of you at L&L we had to add these trays. You guys wanted something for Doom Reavers, the new style Bane Thralls, and models with long weapons.

Nice trays. I'll be ordering a full custom load for my Skorne before GenCon.

Many people think they can make a tray like Battle Foam but until you actually see one first hand, and see how sturdy it is compared to all the other foam products out there, you have no idea.

I've got to agree. You can use just about anything to store models but I think Battlefoam is probably the best you can get off the market.

Now that I've gone and turned myself into a free advertisement... Can we get something like a small bag for maybe just one list for easy travel?

The P3 Bag is small. It hold a medium and large tray IIRC.

The doom reaver tray needs to hold at least 3 units of doom reavers and possibly 4 for those of us running eButcher. I guess I could buy 2 but heck I will need another bag LOL! Wait I know what I need for fathers day now!!!!!!

Is there plans to release similar trays for the 720's ? or does 2 of these trays fit across a 720 ?

Too bad the bane thrall tray doesn't fit the officer and standard plus 16 regular bane thralls and keep a few more generic slots for other models.

On the other hand, being able to put two full units in that tray is pretty awesome.

True. But two full units + UAs is just fine IMO. Afterall, who owns 16 Bane Thralls of the new style? You own 10 or 20 since the new style ones only come in boxes of 10. And even if you don't field two full units, we all know of Shade2 and Tartarus making more. I'll have to consider one of these trays when I go back to my Cryx.

once they do a custom tray for the warmachine/hordes bag the template is available when making custom trays for your 720 so you can make it how you want. which is what I did for my legion tray.
just choose custom tray for size of 720 then make your own, drag and drop the outllines you want, if its orange there's crossover so make sure all grey. save it then use that image for purchasing, dead easy and well worth it.

use half trays.. you can fit in a half sized warjack, 2 half troop, and 2 half mediums in a p3. I do this all the time.

Actually I've got a solid plastic sided box with wheels, handle, and 2-3x the storage of the $200 Battlefoam carrying case for around $40. All the foam is custom cut for the models, resulting in only as much usage as I need, when I need it.

I've seen the Battlefoam bags, they're very nice, good quality product, the price is not.

I am sure the guys with 200 doom reavers are going to come out of the wood work.

Shame I only have one unit, and I already slit the foam for them. Someday when I am out of school, I will probably end up getting custom foam and what not. Such a pain putting swordsmen away, never knowing which ones go where. Same with doom reavers. Not worth the 20 dollars to get a new set of foam specifically for that reason though.

We are actually looking for a new web programmer that can update our website on a more consistent bases. We just hired a new graphics artist but we still need a programmer/general web savvy person. If any of you are interested in applying, please PM me and I can get you details.

The reason for that post is that it directly effects the speed that we upload new shapes to the Custom Tray Creator. With a better person working with us the speed will increase to days instead of weeks.

I'd have to say the battle foam product is very good. My problem is planning the purchase. I have a small battle foam bag for a skirmish game and that works great because the standard load out is perfect for what I own. With warmachine/hordes though I have "way-too-many-models-itis". I plan on moving one of my warmachine collections into a new case system since their battle pack systems are modular and can be zipped together in case I want to play a huge game or I can pack a small bag for a lunch time league game. As for who owns a bunch on bane thralls well.... I'm at 30 bane thralls, 20 bane knights, 2 UAs, Tarterus, and drooling for the bane cav. And that's just my two Goreshade theme lists.

I have many cases both manufacturer built and home made. Yes you can make a custom case at home but it's a lot of work and I'd rather put that same time into building and painting my models and possibly even playing the game. That and I do like to look professional when showing up to an event. Thankfully manufactured case makers like Battle Foam do a good job helping me to look good and stay organized. Now can we get some trays of my 32 Satyxis Raiders? I have both old and new sculpts
