Few warbeasts survive long enough to distinguish themselves in the service of the skorne, but the fiercely intelligent and disciplined Tiberion has fought alongside Tyrant Xerxis for over a decade. Because the titan?s intractable nature made him almost impossible to train, his original handlers nearly put him to death. Xerxis sensed an extraordinary fighting spirit in him, though, and took it upon himself to break the beast. Now Tiberion serves his master Xerxis with all the devotion of a sworn soldier, standing immovable against waves of enemies even as he shatters entire formations with his powerful tetsubo.

The Sons of Bragg swagger across western Immoren like living legends, each mighty with both sword and voice. The Sons are heard long before their arrival, booming mighty chants that resound off trees and mountains. Wrathar leads the chorus of his brothers Tor and Rhudd. Their voices join in perfect harmony to belt out powerful chants that sustain them despite impossibly grievous wounds. Having picked up the Sons at L&L, the detail on them is pretty impressive. The only thing I'm not quite sure about them where the models are concerned are their heads.

The thing that really gets me about the Sons is their mouths. I mean, do you know anyone whose entire gums show when they sing or even shout? Looks like a horrible death howl to me, lol.

I think it is a combination of the derp faces and their tiny legs that ruin the SOBs for me. The storm troll and Tibbers look sweet though.

I'm painting the Sons for Clash for the Cure, and personally think they are awesome-looking models. Tiberion and the Sons both looked much better in person than the pics....as usual.

I cant believe that Mountain King and Sons of Bragg are released by the same company, ignoring the rules its just incredible that there can be such a huge difference in quality.

Tiberion looks good and the lightning troll is pretty decent as well.

The explanation is probably that they are sculpted by different people.

I'm not sold on the sons. The faces don't bother me much, sure the gums are a bit extreme but I like how asymmetrical they look. However, the chain mail on that 360 guy is just plain terrible. On a sculpt from 20 years ago or on some conversion in the M&M section of these boards, sure, but on a model sold by PP? Ouch... I wish there were some degree of control before just accepting sculpts.

If I was a Trollist and wanted to field the SoBs, I would give them a shave. I think it's the mohawk that looks really stupid. File that off and they should look half-respectable.

I think PP realised that their some of their older troll sculpts (Im especially looking at you Pyre troll!) were same size or smaller than a regular trollkin which makes very little sense. Im happy that they are getting bigger.

Yeah, starting to not be a huge fan of the kits for characters. Malice is the only one I REALLY like.

I like Erebus too. His head is just so cool and unique that it works for me. Most other upgrade kits don't stand out enough to me, and you kind of need a paint job to do that.

Character kits have varied greatly for me. Mostly, it comes down to how evocative the head is. Really liked Black Ivan, less fond of Torch. I reposed Rok greatly, but no matter what, his head makes him look like a character beast. Ghetorix would also have trouble passing for FA:U. Gallant, Malice, and Erebus also manage to provide plenty of character and both the protectorate kits do a good job of at least feeling like more than the plastic.

I think terrible is too strong of a word. SOB are terrible because their proportions are noncanonical to the art and previous releases.

Tiberion is merely lacking inspiration. The sculpt of the pieces and how they fit together on the model's really nice.
